Ricky Gervais Says It's 'Child Abuse' to Tell Children Gays Will Go to Hell

British comedian and actor Ricky Gervais told CNN's Piers Morgan on Thursday that telling a child that gays will go to hell is "child abuse."

When asked by Morgan how his atheist beliefs impact God-fearing Americans, Gervais responded by saying, "Why should they take offense that I don't believe in their God or any other god? And I say to them, 'Tell me the reasons you don't believe in all the other gods, and that's the reason I don't believe in yours.'"

During his response, the image of Gervais on the cover of New Humanist magazine from September/October 2011 appeared on the screen. The image shows Gervais standing in the shape of a cross, with his shirt off and the word 'atheist' written across his chest, while his arms are outstretched and tied to a microphone stand. ...

Don't get baited into the wrong argument, it's a diversion. The issue is not does a person believe in God or not, a person can believe in God and it means nothing in regard to eternity and redemption. The question is what have you done with Jesus. He who has the Son has life and he who has not the Son has not life but the wrath of God abides on him.

I wonder if it would be child abuse to tell them that homosexuals go to heaven?

There is absoluteley NO reason for anyone not to beleive in God. If you don't beleive in God well, let it be. Even though its stupid, as long as you dont hate God and say bad things about him you are ooookaaaay. But there is still no reason not to beleive.

God records
Psalm 14:1 "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good."

Who can argue with God? - Gervais is a fool, which is the old name for a commedian anyway. So his lifestyle reflects the fact.

Dic:
"fool"
noun
1. a silly or stupid person; a person who lacks judgment or sense.
2. a professional jester, formerly kept by a person of royal or noble rank for amusement: the court fool.

Yep that sounds like Gervais!!

It happens, so if he believes contrary to reality, does his opinion carry any weight?
No, the opinion of Gervais and all other atheists do not carry any weight whatsoever because they are fools living in a state of unreality for denying that God exists.

Gervais, and his fellow actors, say a lot of things, why does it matter? I'm not saying it's a non-story that can't be discussed for those who are interested, but the opinion of a foul-mouthed, atheist comedian is one of the last pieces of advice a parent should take when raising their child. The simple response to this other than completely ignoring it is to reverse it. Telling children that un-repentant gays will go to heaven is child abuse because should they choose to adhere to such a lifestyle they may find themselves in hell someday.
One more point, for all the lovey-dovey, gay is the way propaganda that is forced on America, there are still disturbing facts about the lifestyle that should make even a non-religious person flee from it, maybe even more so than one who believes in an after life.
Why would an atheist state that telling children that pervert homosexuals go to Hell is child abuse? That is totally illogical.
