Singer Whitney Houston found dead

Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, erratic behavior and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown, has died, Fox News confirms. She was 48.

Publicist Kristen Foster said Saturday that the singer had died.

You are incorrect that if Houston had been a backslidden member of the RCC that she could have been saved if she were given the last rites. I totally reject and repudiate that the Sacrament of Anointing Of The Sick results in salvation. I believe that the Sacrament of Anointing Of The Sick is just for healing according to the Book Of Saint James. I accept the Fundamentalist Protestant doctrine of salvation that salvation comes only through receiving Jesus as ones Personal Lord and Savior by praying to Him and asking Him to become ones Personal Lord and Savior.

Ah, John Y, if she was backsliding member the Romish church she could've been saved if she were given the last rites? "Give Me the Works, Father".

I will agree with you that one can't know the state of belief that Whitney Houston was in when she died. I would point out though,

Matthew 7
20 "So then, you will know them by their fruits.
21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.
22 "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'
23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'---NASB

Houston was a backslidden Baptist obviously because of the illegal drug use that she engaged in. Only the Lord Jesus Christ knows for certain if she passed away in the Grace Of Christ.

It is a miracle that God doesn't burn each and every one of us because of our sins against Him. Please understand that: 1) We have all broken God's laws; no matter what we think of God, we know that we fall short of His moral standard as soon as His holy Law shows us that every adulterous thought is adultery and every hate-filled thought is murder in His eyes, and because of this, His holy wrath is just against both pew-warmers and pedophiles, 2) the amazing thing is that, considering all of our sin everyday and how we spurn His ways, it is a shocker that He has mercy on any one of us at any given time by just letting us BREATH in His holy, sinless presence for one more second. Remember, mercy is NEVER an obligation on the part of the judge. You wouldn't think that it was with an easily corrupted human judge; how much more so with an incorruptible holy God, therefore, 3) Whitney Houston, along with myself and every other son or daughter of Adam, deserves to be burned for eternity, for even the slightest infraction against His Law (yes, He is THAT good in His judgment). My hope is that, despite her grave offenses against God Almighty for 48 years of existence, God had mercy on her and saved her at the end, like I pray He does for you...

Looking at the theatre/movie industry from the outside one cannot help but see mammon is god and drugs are the life of the people and their children. If any "industry" is so identified by these elements then truly Satan is the most influencial power among them. Celebrity and big money obviously runs the industry and covetousness is certainly idolatry (Col 3:5) within this community.

Sadly as can be seen in the article, this worldly industry takes many casualties!
