NAE, Assemblies of God agree with Catholics' objection
The National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) and the Assemblies of God, which is also an NAE member, have come out in strong support of the recent objection by the Roman Catholic Church to a President Obama administration ruling that mandates health insurance plans cover contraceptives - including drugs that can cause abortions - and only provides very limited exception for "religious employers."
Although some churches and other houses of worship are exempt from the Department of Health and Human Services guidelines (under the 2010 health care reform law), church-affiliated hospitals, colleges and social services are not.
In a letter to President Obama sent by NAE President Leith Anderson and signed by Wood and nearly 60 additional religious leaders in December, Anderson stated that despite the media's focus on the Catholic Church's objection to the ruling, the Catholic community was not...
This is a serious problem as a great number of Hospitals in USA are Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, and others and should not be required to submit to Obama Law in this case, America will suffer for a long time as a result of the Obama Judges
Ms. Sebelius' HHS ruling includes at least one FDA-approved "contraceptive" which is the notorious RU-486 pill. Only after implantation is it generally prescribed. At that point it chemically-prys the growing child from his mother: It's a lethal potion.
Therefore, most para-church organizations under this HHS ruling would be forced to violate one of the earliest of Christian precepts:
"You shall not use potions. You shall not procure [an] abortion, nor destroy a newborn child." -Didache 2:1‚Äď2 [A.D. 70]
