Tuesday night in his State of the Union address President Obama called on all states to raise their school compulsory attendance age to 18, a move that stirred verbal backlash from homeschoolers.
"So tonight, I am proposing that every state—every state—requires that all students stay in high school until they graduate or turn 18,” Obama said on Tuesday night.
The Home School Legal Defense Association, or HSLDA, contends that the new age requirements would unnecessarily add to bureaucratic requirements for homeschoolers....

Presidents, have been using their office as a bully pulpit for over a century, and I think longer. So as a national leader he has every right to comment on about anything that he thinks affects the nation. You and everyone else also have the right not to agree with him.
So, it is not in support of any of his positions, but I will support the tradition that he has the right to use his office as a bully pulpit.

Of course, we might ask what business is it of the president, and by what authority does he propose it. But we don't seem to think deeply enough to challenge the ongoing overstepping of constitutional authority, do we?
And he didn't say whether "every state" meant all 57 of them.
if people want their homeschooling freedoms, they should vote for cohn's who support homeschooling all the time (and not just election time) such as Dr. Paul.
Voting for globalists means international law in regards to rights of children will come from inter'l law -- treaties already written folks.
