Newt: God in Control of Events

In a one-on-one interview with The Brody File, Newt Gingrich says God is in control of events and explains that he prays before major speeches and debates. â€œI think I had an epiphany in that sense of Christ coming into my heart, in my 20s, and I felt born again. I think itâ€™s a very deep part of me, and something that leads me, for example, to pray before every major speech and before every debate.â€ As for God being in control of events he tells me, â€œItâ€™s always Godâ€™s will. One Saturday Newt was an elect Baptist but the very moment he was accepted into the Church that fateful Sunday morning his election failed and he became absolute evil making even Hitler seem like a mere schoolboy.

Newt, the serial polygamist, is a Catholic until he marries another woman of a different faith. I just assumed that you were being sarcastic, What is Monergism? Newt will have to marry a Presbyterian, next.

not that he hasn't had some good ideas, such as his support of Israel, but it may be a will bolt will-o'-the-wisp thing such as his support for, Gingrich Once Applauded Romney's Health Plan

Like David after Bathsheba, Speaker Gingrich's repentance is deep and abiding. He's a monergist's monergist. Not a maverick molecule anywhere.
