Joel Osteen: Mitt Romney Is a 'Believer in Christ Like Me'
Joel Osteen, pastor of America's fastest growing megachurch, has reiterated his opinion that GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney is a “believer in Christ like me” and that the former Massachusetts governor's confession of Jesus as the Son of God is “enough” for him.
Osteen, senior pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, told CBS’ Charlie Rose Monday morning, “What I see about Gov. Romney is that he says ‘I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He’s raised from the dead and he’s my savior.’ I see him as being a believer in Christ like me.”

Bruce, you're kidding right. Joel is depriving millions of people hearing the true gospel. Instead he feeds them this, " your best life now" crud. His message is satanic because he has no faith in the word of God. Joel isn't great or good he's evil. Unless people start reading their bibles instead of listening to some boso then there is no hope. Challenge all teaching according to scripture.

Joel is a great guy, good church, good celebrity , but is typical of the Charismatic, Word of Faith leaders who know nothing of Biblical Theology, and just pass on and share their ignorance with one another, he was just in Seattle, great event but did any of his fellow Pastors challenge him on his statements? No they were falling over each other to suck up to Joel and Victiria and have their picture taken, who cares what Joel Osteen thinks about Mormon teaching, his Dad John Osteen would turn in his grave, John was raised a consistent Baptist as far as salvation goes, Joel on the other hand had one year at ORU
What a nasty thing to say about Romney. Osteen must really dislike him if he describes Romney as "like me" in his beliefs.

Why, yes, John Y. The Romish church not only believed in Jesus as God, but Mary, the Saints, the Popes, the magisterium, etc. as having the power of God. Roman Catholic Tradition and the reasons mentioned above shows why that one has to see that a Is A Catholic Christian An Oxymoron? There are so many reasons that Roman Catholics, Mormons and Jehovah Witnesses have so much more in common with each other than they do Christians.
Of course, Mr. Osteen And Romney have so much in common-neither of them are Christians.
Are you sure about that John? My Jesus died once and for all conquering sin and death. The catholic Jesus is being resacrificed over and over- never being sufficient to save. Which Jesus do you serve?
Osteen is insane. Romney does not believe in the biblical and historical Jesus but believes in a False jesus. Catholics have always believed in and worshipped the biblical and historical Jesus.
I hope Joel's followers understand the implication of what this means... Perhaps they'll see it's time for them to get back to the Bible and seek a local Bible-believing church to attend.
