Judge: Following Christian beliefs wrong

A ministry that follows the dictates of its faith is engaging in wrongdoing, according to a New Jersey judge who recommended today that the state Division on Civil Rights find the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association violated the state’s nondiscrimination law.

“The respondent violated the [Law Against Discrimination] when it refused to conduct a civil-union ceremony for Ms. Bernstein and Ms. Paster,” wrote Solomon Metzger, an administrative law judge whose determination will become final if not overturned by the Division of Civil Rights. ...

Although some priests allowed the sacrifice of children to Molech, it is an evil that some NT priests, out of self-serving motives, have hurt children. You're very right to point this out about the Church.

Everyone to whom much is given, much is required.

If the end isn't nigh...
Then just how worse can things get around here?
Suffering?
Martyrdom?
Break down of society?
Lawlessness?
Wickedness increase?
Four more years of Obama?

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Dirk Yoder,
I appreciate your post. It reminds me of the reality when the State refuses to acknowledge of God of the Bible it sets is course on being a tyrant in the lives of men.

Mind if I reference your post?

The article does not specify if those two women are Methodists. If they are Methodists then they should be cognizant of Methodist Church law which prohibits Methodist ministers from conducting same sex marriages.

"[Judge] Metzger’s opinion noted that since the dispute erupted, the state denied a portion of the organization’s tax exemption relating to the piece of property, because it “was not available on an equal basis.”"

Please pray this recommendation is overturned. If not, it could open a Pandora's box of Christian persecution.
