Justin Bieber talks to God, doesn't need church
Justin Bieber talks directly to God.

The 17-year-old pop superstar is a Christian and believes there is a higher power guiding everyone's lives, but he doesn't go to church to affirm his faith and instead focuses on praying to God in private.

He told V magazine: "A lot of people who are religious, I think they get lost. They go to church just to go to church. I'm not trying to disrespect them . but for me, I focus more on praying and talking to Him. I don't have to go to church."

If the SA participants would apply this scripture then there wouldn't be any more discussion, for isn't almost everyone on here a heretick?

Tts 3:10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
reject = paraiteomai: shun, avoid.

How can this tale ever ring true?

Observer made a wise observation..."Re: NYP

Why is this one nuisance guy being allowed to dominate the forums? He is clearly loving the attention, and it does not appear that he wants to engage in any meaningful way, because he brings every thread to the same subject matter viz. RCC being the true church blah blah blah!

He is clearly a Jesuit imp peoples. We should not pander to his rhetoric!

I agree, he is doing nothing but spreading his rcc agenda. We must quit wasting valuable time on him, ignore him, and pray for his soul.

Luther in the Fast Lane

A brilliant Ph.D. Roman Catholic priest remarks: "Eureka! I've discovered *the* secret key that finally unlocks Heaven's door."

Thrilled, he emails his "theological novum" to the Pope who quickly replies he's incorrect.

Though bummed but through the increasing power of his newfangled salvation, he replies that he and his buds are splitting unless the Vicar of Christ knuckles under and agrees with his terms & conditions.

His Holiness texts: "Ok?"

Now consumed with power, twittering millions of followers by the moonlight, they take off in a huff to embrace his new truth.

Sadly, his soul is immediately required of him but as a consolation his followers name their newly-minted and growing denomination after him just as the strike of midnight.

Soli Deo Gloria!

Readers who find it difficult to answer this question should refer to

Gibson's "Preservation against Popery" Vol 2

There is an entire section devoted to the ignorant question, "Where was your religion before Luther" by Dr Hascard who was Dean of Windsor.

You're not thinking, nyp.

God has done THE WORK. He provided a substitutionary sacrifice, and now all the poor man has to do is LOOK, and he will have ETERNAL LIFE.

Your pride is keeping you from the simplest thing that even little children can accomplish. And great sinners like myself. And having received so great salvation by simply looking to Jesus, you are now trying to burden me up with all sorts of rubbish. This makes you my enemy, you do realise that, don't you?

Observe and learn. This text is self explanatory, and you should have no difficulty seeing what it says.

Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.
John 6:29 KJV

Moses (under God) made the brazen serpent.

God sent his only begotten Son.

Those who do not perish are those who look at God's provision with the humbled eye of faith.

Moses obeyed a command, the work you say he did was commanded by God for a purpose, Moses saved no one. Did people look to Moses to be healed, or did they look to the serpent on the pole? Why were the people bitten? Because they sinned. What was the cure? They were told to look to something, in this case, a serpent on a pole. Is Christ not who sinners look to for salvation? You fail to properly understand the teaching here, all you see is that somebody did this, and another did that, and that's why they were saved. That is all surface understanding, but it isn't at all what is being taught. Works save no one, only trusting solely in the finished work of what Christ has done will save.

Were the people healed because Moses did a work, or were they healed because Moses obeyed God? God is behind all this...

Moses making the serpent is NOT a work.
Moses hand carves a snake, then makes a pole, buys a nail and hammer and nails them together -- and this is not work?

Also, Moses makes this graven image that the afflicted Christian faithful (likely on their knees or prostrate) gaze at in faith and are cured of their disease (sin).

But when the Christian Church makes a statue (such as a Nativity Scene featuring the baby Jesus) which is merely a window to things unseen (just like this snake), then this very Christian Church is somehow engaged in gross idolatry?

Hmmm.

why did they look to the serpent? Numbers 21 unveils the reason why, they knew if they did it would keep them from dying, as Moses was instructed by God. It wasn't a 'work', it was a means to prevent death. Christ is a type and shadow of this serpent, those who look to Him alone will be saved. If you go to the doctor because you need medicine, is that considered a work?

Moses making the serpent is NOT a work, it is obedience to God so those who were bitten would be spared, his 'work' did not save anyone, looking to the serpent on the pole did.

once again....The RCC is the only 'true church'? Then why does it twist God's word? I asked you before, what does Jesus mean in Matthew 23:9 when he commanded us to call no one on earth father? Also, can you give us the answer why the RCC directly violates this command by calling a mortal man 'holy father'? Defend your 'religion' using what you claim you gave us...God's word.

Brethren??!!

But to answer your question, here is just one of a multitude of answers:

John 3:14-15 KJV
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

"Believeth in him". Anything else?

When they were bitten by serpents, did they do anything else but gaze up at the brazen serpent Moses made by order of God?

Get to it.
