Retailers adjust marketing as more men take over grocery shopping

Meyer, 35, is part of a growing contingent of men taking over grocery duty. Experts say the trend has been building slowly for decades. But the recession hit men disproportionately with layoffs and left many of them home to manage the household.

The nation's biggest food and personal products manufacturers are taking notice, trying to market products and adjust store layouts to cater to men. It's a paradigm shift for the $560-billion retail food industry that has patently referred to the primary customer as "she," focusing marketing and advertising firepower on women, and mothers in particular ‚ÄĒ sometimes making fun of dads in the process.

The female focus isn't lost on Meyer, who works as a brand manager for Bimbo Bakeries USA. ...

That's interesting.

I suspect their cellphones looked decidedly non-foppish and "plane-looking". Perhaps they had a hand-sewn cover on them rather than a painted one to make them more acceptable.

Thank you for your testimony and the explanation for nyp of what the gospel is saying to lost souls. It always refreshes me to read such, and to hear of the power of Christ to change a life for the better. Mine own testimony is similar.

I praise God for what he has done in your life, and for his great love wherewith he hath loved us. What a wonderful Saviour we have in Jesus Christ.

Nyp has obviously come under the influence of Presbys, who tell him he can do nothing, but must wait for the goosebumps to start. If the goosebumps are big enough, then he may be regarded as elect and saved, but if they are tiny goosebumps, it is a spurious effect and must be disregarded.

But when Jesus began to preach, he said, "Repent ye and believe the gospel". This is the way forward, and Jesus never mentioned goosebumps.

When Peter began to preach, he said, "Repent and be baptised, every one of you..."

Nyp, there is LIFE for a look at the crucified one, there is life at this moment for thee. When you look up at the Cross (the AD33 Cross), and see Jesus dying for your many sins, your burden will fall away, and God will assure you that you have eternal life by the indwelling Spirit, who will come to you and fill you with all joy in believing.

Not your pope,

I'm sorry you don't have any assurance of salvation. But you can. Christ paid the entirety of the punishment for all of your sins. Christ came to seek and to save that which is lost, and in John 19:30 He said, "It is finished". All the work is done. All you must do is accept God's salvation God's way by faith alone in Christ.

I'm a retired U.S. Marine and was a drunkard for over 20 years, and Christ still died and paid for all of my sins as He did your's. I never had any desire but to sin, but since turning from sin to Christ, trusting in His sacrifice for sins alone, I hate every sin I now commit.

Salvation is trusting in Christ alone, not yourself or any religion. Accept the gift of salvation.

Rom 6:23 ...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
1John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Not your pope, God says you can know right now you have eternal life, but it only comes by trusting in His Son. Just please consider what God is offering you by faith in the Son of God the Lord Jesus.

How much assurance of Heaven have I? "None," I say.

If God's grace alone is insufficient at the end of my days, then to Hell I go for that's what I've earned.

You say you have your faith. I say anything praiseworthy or good in me is from Christ alone. He'll either save me or not. His call. Not mine.

A Roman Catholic cannot have any assurance of salvation - even Pope John Paul wasn't assured of heaven when he died. He didn't go to heaven when he died, according to Roman Catholic teaching, and if he didn't go there first when he died, he'll never go there, according to sound biblical protestant teaching.

I've spoken with the author of the title, "Better Off: Flipping the Switch on Technology," who once lived with the "Minimites" (Amish) and wrote about his experiences. His thesis is that more technology (e.g., electronic gizmos, birth control) does not make our lives better.

I've also transacted business with the Amish and toured Amish neighborhoods.

Fine, hard-working, honest folks from what I gather.

Neither the Full-Quiver movement, the Amish nor Roman Catholics commune with each other. They are not one Church contrary to what Jesus required of us.

____________

With women flooding and men avoiding college, a growing percentage will be doing the grocery shopping. This so-called "he-cession" won't just stop at the corporate towers but will seep into conservative seminaries and denominations, too. Men will increasingly become assistant pastors and preach when their wives can't.

Sanger's global feminization is wildly successful but is far from ove

Buy acreage and farm adjacent to Amish property. Eschew the power grid and indoor plumbing. Befriend your Amish neighbors. After 2-3 years, be invited to their Sunday meetings of the church. Viola. You're Amish.

I have known some Amish who were very clannish and not too trusting of outsiders. From my experience it would be difficult to become Amish.

To eat His flesh and to drink His blood is indeed the way to have eternal life, and if you don't do that, you cannot be saved. If you can work out how exactly to do that, you will be saved forever. Currently, you have not got it right, and you are not eating His flesh nor drinking His blood.

Clue: the answer is not found in the Catholic Mass.

Yes! I am quite aware that even the KJV speaks of eating His flesh and drinking His blood, that would of course be the real Jesus Christ NOT the imaginary ones false religions have imagined for themselves.

But think logically with me on this just a moment. If the RCC has NOT and they didn't get it right on the identity of Christ our Creator in CCC 841 then whatever they teach about a communion wafter BEING BOTH the body and the blood is enormously suspect and not to be trusted.

And btw if I were in your shoes I would be terrified of the day of judgment of being found guilty of lying against and suppressing the Truth of God's word, worshipping idols and leading my own family to do likewise to their own eternal damnation.

And as politely and lovingly as I might your children deserve The Truth not RC myths and nonsense.

A slight aside, NYP. Though the RCC has long been opposed to contraception, it hasn't had a 2000 yr teaching against it, for the RCC didn't exist that long ago.

The Bible speaks against eating of flesh and drinking blood in Genesis 9:1-6 and Leviticus 17:10-14. With that said, do you believe God's word contradicts?

The passage you refer to from John 6:53 cannot be interpreted literally, if you view it as such, then you'll have to rip out the aforementioned verses from the Bible.

It is a symbol of Christ's death, burial and resurrection. All who believe in His finished work on the cross will be saved.

Jesus commanded you to eat His flesh and drink His blood or you will be cut off from Him. You can find this even in the KJV.

Also, two average Muslim grandparents in Europe have 25 grandchildren. Whereas 100 average Orthodox grandparents in Greece have just 42 grandchildren. Do the math. Which will be the survivor of the fittest?

All of these other arguments are moot if your denomination doesn't at least obey Mother Nature when she whispers: "Reproduce or die."

Many novus ordo Catholic priests haven't heard this death knell yet.

Knowing
Titus 2:11-14
in the context of Scripture
and knowing CCC 841
gets the identity of God our Creator WRONG in regards to Christ and Muslim, whereas the RCC claims to adore the same god as they do

I have to think you probably really don't know what you are speaking about when you use the word Grace, especially when it means being a Roman Catholic

even if you all have YOUR Mass both ways.

And although I am a baptist I see you are found of attempting to hijack terms used during the time of the Protestant Reformation and that are continued to be used by those who have part ways with Rome today. After all how can all be to the glory of God if you all worship, exucse me adore Allah with the Muslim, worship and pray and devote yourselves to a demonic impresonator of Mary, and worship a lifeless piece of bread as if it were Christ Himself physically present. etc.
