Pink Bibles pulled after benefits tied to Planned Parenthood
To promote breast cancer awareness, supporters buy pink shirts, pink shoes, pink mouse pads and a host of other pink products.
Until Wednesday, there was even a pink version of the Holman Christian Standard Bible on store shelves. That's no longer the case.
Southern Baptist-owned LifeWay Christian Resources is recalling its pink Bible because it benefited a charity with ties to Planned Parenthood. The "Here's Hope Breast Cancer Bible" was sold at Walmart stores and other major retailers, with a dollar per copy going to the Dallas-based Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
LifeWay decided to recall the Bible after receiving complaints that some of the breast cancer charity's local affiliates donated funds to Planned Parenthood. Thomas Rainer, president of LifeWay, called the project a mistake....

...And it's been going on for a LONG time now. My "Christian" parents didn't want the "hassle" of more kids, so mom took the Pill and dad got "an operation" back in the 1960s to make sure I wouldn't have any more siblings.
It was widely considered the "enlightened" thing to do at the time.
Oh well. 2nd and 3rd world immigrants seem more than happy to fill our self-imposed population vacuum, so we should be OK in the long run, I guess.
Klan Parenthood is more like it. Actually, there's a site called klanparenthood. Check it out.
Susan G. Komen giving to Planned Parenthood is like if MADD gave money to Jack Daniel's to research better methods of distilling whiskey. Aside from the fact that it is murder, abortions are related to increased risk of breast cancer. This just shows that the motives are political and not altruistic "women's health" concerns.
That's one for the ages, or at least one that I will definitely remember. Thank you.
I've long been suspicious of a possible link (both spiritually and physically) between birth control (wind) and breast cancer (whirlwind), being that God is not mocked and we eventually reap what we sow.
Your "ALL" link is blocked, as I'm on break at work, and our system administrators won't let us view anything they deem to be too "controversial" (fear of liability and computer viruses, I guess); so I'll have to wait until I get home to read it.
The Roman Catholic Church outed the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation years ago for its financial ties to Planned Parenthood. Good for ALL et al to remind the SBC of this googleable fact.
The Pill, a steroid cocktail and group one carcinogen, and abortion both significantly elevate a woman's risk for breast cancer. Thus, the two key "products" of Planned Parenthood have created the breast cancer pandemic that Komen is spending money to fix. They want to give women unfettered sex with no consequences.
Sending them Christian money through the sale of Bibles is a grave sin.
A clearer apology than, "[We made a] mistake," from the SBC/LifeWay is required.
