New license plate for Texas: ‘One State Under God’
The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles has approved a new license plate for the state’s drivers with the slogan, “One State Under God” which has renewed controversy over specialty plates, but supporters say the new plate will fund youth ministry.

You must be close to (or maybe inside of) the Shawnee National Forrest. That's some pretty country down there, where my grandparents grew up, near Harrisburg and Cave-in-Rock.
Hi Jim, Thanks for the link to the BBC article... In all truthfulness, I am approximately 6 hours from Chicago in downstate Illinois and unfamiliar with Chigago's history.
Ah Angela, you folks do have a unique history, so far anyway, yours is the only state that can hold a governors convention inside of prison, soon you will have three former governors serving time, at once. You might tell us if you think the BBC is correct in this case, Why is Illinois so often corrupt??
Most of think that Perry religiosity is self-serving and this could be just another example unfortunately. I will say though that license plate makes it plain that the God that Texas is talking about isn't Allah, Allah of Islam, Is He Yahweh God of the Bible?, so I'll give this license plate committee a compliment of making that distinction.
Praise the LORD! Those who appreciate the Sovereignty of the Lord and States rights will want one of these... Also, I really doubt if Illinois will be approving anything like this soon. After all, we are the state that prodiced Rod Blagojevich and Barack Obama.
