This is very refreshing to hear, brother. Especially as it echoes my own struggles, prayers and studies, into the subject. It does not come easily, but when you have it, it makes a whole world of difference when you come to read and study God's word. His words and promises can be taken as absolute truth, rather than worrying about the veracity of translation.
I have discovered that research literature and articles need discernment, for some seek to prove the point from half-truths and other dubious techniques. But the Lord will lead his people to believe his words, and it refreshes the heart to know we have God's word in English. And this has to be spiritually discerned, not merely intellectually discerned.
There are too many other good posts on this subject to respond to, but know that I appreciate all of them. I believe your point, Michael, concerns the bizarre approach of the cultist KJV-onlyists, whom I have no truck with whatever.

Thank you for allowing me to clarify NYP! Those I mentioned as control Nazis, (using your term) don't use a King James Bible. The Roman Catholic Church didn't use a King James Bible either, and they Controlled and killed any who opposed them.

And I thoroughly agree with you. Here in the UK there is no pressure, no programming, no brainwashing, to get people to buy and read the Authorised (King James) Version of the Bible.
But the enormous pressure churches and pastors are under to change to any modern version is so overwhelming, and the peer pressure is so great, that the majority have done just that, without ANY research on the subject, and without listening sufficiently to ANY argument.
One local pastor recently shouted at a friend of mine (sister) when she refused to budge from her AV and accept the pew niv. She knows a whole load more than him about the veracity of the AV and the corruptions of the modern versions, yet he roared at her, "But you MUST believe me, you MUST! The AV is translated from the Vulgate!! And therefore wrong!!"
This to my mind is the vilest oppression of a child of God, trying to cause doubt in the mind with incorrect assumptions.

Realize for a moment that Jesus uses parables about seed and fields. Consider it is not by accident or coincidence.

Yes learn to define and understand what is said, therein the beauty and accuracy of the KJV becomes apparent, but not so much the translation itself, rather the Pure Wheat there.
There is a great need to come to the right conclusion for the right reason. Some KJVO's conclude Runes (G.A.Riplinger) are a reason to use the KJV, google it.
We used to use the NKJV in our nightly Bible reading with the kids, but grew frustrated with it because the words were different from year to year in our printed versions.
It's pretty easy and simple to define KJV words using the 1828 Webster Dictionary free with e-sword and other programs. It promotes study and discovery!
We praise God and adamantly thank Him for His Wisdom and gift of His Word and the KJV, and thank Him for giving strength to those who were tortured and killed to bring it to us.
