Will True Christian Churches Be Forced Underground in America?
Will the real Christian churches please stand up? Or, er, should they rather go underground?
In order to stay true to their belief and to God, one conservative Christian commentator is convinced that the ârealâ Christian church in America is going to be forced to do as the early Christians didâgo underground.
J.D. Longstreet is making a lot of noise with a commentary that argues many of the mainline Christian churches have slipped away from the foundation of Scripture to adopt secular tenants and leftist, politically correct philosophies until they have become only a shadow of the true followers of Christ....
What this man is saying is true but the time table is hard to predict. If we get another liberal Democrat or a freedom hating Neocon in the White House it may occur sooner than you think. Paul Washer has some good comments along these lines available on this site.

I thought of that too, but there's a difference: I don't hear as many Northern conservatives pine for the antebellum âgood old days,â as Southerners more often do. But you're right, the North was just as guilty of racism, minus the slavery. Frederick Douglass noticed that not long after he escaped the South.
in many ways and in many cases, this is already a present reality.
there will be no news bulletin. each will come to his or her own realization in his own time-- and then go before the Lord and count the cost. a true living for Christ comes at this point.
narrow is the road.
As for Jim thinking Paul never had political message---that way of thinking may serve your purposes well. As I recall, Paul was in a load of political trouble all the time--court cases, detentions, etc---the gospel will always be relevant to the day you are living in---if your gospel comes at no cost and does not have any connection to the happenings of the day, it is not the true one.
"J. D. Longstreet is a conservative Southern American ⊠with a deep passion for the history, heritage, and culture of the southern states of America."
This is nothing to boast about, for the âBible Belt'sâ legacy of slavery & racial segregation, & the defense of this by several influential conservative âministriesâ of late, has badly damaged the credibility of Biblical Christianity in this country, & has helped universalize the idea that conservatives are inherently racists.
Gradually Biblical Christianity is being marginalised and seen as irrelevant by the reprobate majority.
Liberalism as an epidemic is spreading through the institutions such as governments, judiciary, establishment churches, schools and industry. These institutions lack real authority which comes only from God. The most obvious example of this is moral authority which no longer even exists in the establishment (national) churches and in political leadership.
The True Church therefore is sidelined and rejected by bureaucracy which becomes the authority amongst the people. The Bible is reduced to mythological status and seen to be old fashioned relating to a time when people were naive in their thinking and philosophy of life.

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools"
