Gunfire erupts at NC mall as early shoppers arrive
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) â Authorities say gunfire erupted at a North Carolina mall as holiday shoppers gathered, though there are no reports of any injuries. No evacuation was ordered, but several shoppers left the mall and some smaller stores closed.
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says detectives are looking for two suspects after gunfire rang out at Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville early Friday.
The first shots were fired around 2 a.m. outside the mall near a food court entrance. Investigators say several more shots were fired after one of the suspects ran inside the mall.
Investigators say no one with gunshot wounds has shown up at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center....
Ah, I seemed to missed the opportunity, this year to single-handedly prop up the economy! I have to say all of my computer buys and other Black Friday type deals came either before or after BF. While I got what I wanted most, for a BF purchase, a week before BF, as was the case last year, I missed out on a 12 hour sale and overlooked a laptop that I would probably have put the cash out for, because it probably was worth it. Oh, and because another store didn't believe "in truth of advertizing" I didn't have an opportunity to spend more money. So, it ends up other people, well except for the above mentioned "truth in advertising" bit were stuck with their tempers being tested--and my bank account escaped, more or less in tact.
