'Avalanche of imagesâ€™ sexualising our kids

The â€œliberal dogma of the pastâ€ has left us with the â€œmoral abyss of the presentâ€, a leading head teacher has said, as she hit out at the sexualisation of children.

Dr Helen Wright, President of the Girlsâ€™ Schools Association (GSA), warned of â€œan avalanche of images and malign influencesâ€ which is overwhelming young people.

And she cautioned that parents who â€œno longer know right from wrongâ€ are â€œunwittingly â€˜indulgingâ€™â€ their children with make-up and provocative clothing.
