Catholics revise words of Mass

Christmas-season Catholics who may not have been to Mass since last year are in for a surprise during the first Sunday of Advent this week.

The Catholic church is changing the words of the Mass for the English-speaking world. From the USA to the United Kingdom and from Africa to Australia, Catholics will find a more formal text and chants.

The 41-year-old liturgy, with its colloquial English phrasings, will be replaced by a revised Roman Missal that's word-for-word more literally tied to the original Latin of the church. ...

Mike N.Y., good point, I would add,

Matthew 28
19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."---NASB

Steady, it's a somewhat a long commentary, but I would suggest that you look at The Scandal of the Catholic Priesthood, which I believe makes only a one sentence passing reference to the sex problems of Catholic priests, but deals with the invalidity of the Catholic priesthood itself.

Ah, John Y., I should have pointed out while God no doubt doesn't like tobacco smoke, he would find the odor of a burning missal, at your hands, quite pleasing. He would be happier if you would Come out of the Catholic Church.

What verses state that Christ is "present within believers"?
To whom did Paul write the stated verse Col. 1:27?

Col. 1:2a "To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse:" These are believers.

The pronouncement that Christ is really and truly present in communion, "His Flesh and Blood, Body and Soul, Humanity and Divinity" is surpassed in its audaciousness only by Christ's that He is the Son of God. Either Christ was telling the truth or He was a madman and a blasphemer. The same is true of the Catholic Church. Obviously we think the Catholic Church is telling the truth and we think many people, if they focus on the biblical and historical evidence regarding the Eucharist, will come to the same conclusion.
Christ is indeed present in the communion service, for he is present within believers. They bring his presence to the service; the service does not bring his presence to them.

Colossians 1:27
"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:"

RC's like mysteries. Why not this one?

Ah, John Y.! Your church just can't leave Roman Catholic Tradition can it?

The Old Goose-Stepper His Unholiness B-16, is a reactionary. by the way John is your new Missal filled with the same corruption as the previous one?

James McCarthy wrote:
"I’m not making this up, Anthony," I told him. "Next Sunday sit near the front of the church and listen carefully to the words of the priest. You’ll see for yourself. According to your Church, in some mystical way the cross transcends time and is made present by the liturgy of the Eucharist. I know this doesn’t make a lot of sense, but Catholicism teaches that the Mass is one and the same as the sacrifice of Calvary."
excerpt from, Is the Mass the Real Sacrifice of Christ?. If it does, take it with you to help light someone's cigar or cigarette, now that would be a pleasant odor to God.

John
The mass is a blasphemous unBiblical abomination born of heresy and blindness from the truth.
