Lesbian couple mulls action against Christian wedding cake baker
An Iowa baker who politely declined to provide a wedding cake for two lesbians based on her Christian values may face legal action from the couple.
Same-sex “marriage” was legalized in Iowa in 2009 by the state Supreme Court, and a 2007 state civil rights act disallows discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation in matters of employment, education, housing, and public accommodation.
On Tuesday KCCI 8 Des Moines interviewed Trina Vodraska and Janelle Sievers, who said they were “shocked” when a local wedding cake business owner declined to provide the confection for their ceremony....
As the senior pastor, three single women joined your beautiful historic Reformed New York church two weekends ago. Then, two asked you last Sunday to marry them on June 2nd -- but you refused citing all of the Bible verses against homosexuality and its damning effect. Seven days ago, they filed a $5 million lawsuit against you, each of your elders & deacons and your church for discrimination and you were served papers, at home with extended family and friends, by a sheriff on Friday.
Similar to these Christian bakers, what are your biblical options?
Wedding cakes ought to be made illegal as damaging to the health. Besides, for Christians, there is no biblical precedent for having a wedding cake anyway.
I'm offended that the bakers use genetically modified wheat that gives my whole family a stomach ache, uses unnatural sugars, oil-derived chemical artificial flavors, hydrogenated vein-filling plasticated oils, etc.
I mean, if we are going to speak up and holler, lets do it for something beneficial to one another.
Unfortunately, in the eyes of God their actions are not marriage. As much as the arm of power behind them, the power of God is not with this. I humbly suggest that instead of getting angry enough to steal someone's business from them, that they repent and turn to meet the living Christ.
I was wondering how many bakeries are there in Des Moines?
This sort of thing happens with such frequency that I believe these businesses are the targets of people who just want to make their lives miserable.
Seems to me they go out of their way to be offended so they can cause a public outcry(hate-filled letters and e-mails,etc.) and make a few dollars in the process.
They very well may have never intended to have this bakery create the cake in the first place.
Romans Ch 1 is a prediction of what will happen if nations ditch the Bible... SO; 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;"
In english the word "convenient" has changed since 1611 the Greek at this point means "proper" - IE What stems from a reprobate mind.
Therefore GOD has given these deviants and their Liberal supporters, over to "vile affections." There is no doubt about God's wrath upon western nations TODAY.
Marriage is now a four-letter word. We don't allow our children to use it in our home. Holy Matrimony is what God recognizes. The abomination called marriage is dead.

And He told us, those whom He has chosen out of the world, because of this the world hates us (John 15:18-25)
Note well: There is a serious deceiving spiritual danger, in thinking if we are (quote) good enough and nice enough the world will love us, something we need to guard ourselves against with the Truth of God's Word and His grace. It is lost fallen sinners in enmity against God who need to be won to Christ, not Christians worthlessly imagining we can ever make the world love us. If God grants them genuine conversion, being born again and a new creature in Christ then they will love God and those born of Him.
