Methodists create a multi-religious school to train pastors
The liberalization of American seminaries is an old story. The inauguration of "the world's first interreligious university" is not.
The Claremont School of Theology is collaborating with the Academy for Jewish Religion in California and the Islamic Center of Southern California to produce Claremont Lincoln University, an ambitious endeavor to train religious leaders for a multi-religious world. The member institutions of the consortium will still ordain the pastors, priests, rabbis, and imams, but the university will offer a concentration on interreligious studies as well as master's and doctoral degrees....
Yes, Resloy, I would think only the liberal Jews would go to it. You might find some Muslims going to this actually somewhat prestigious college for the wealthy, (q.v. Claremont School of Theology) but I seriously would doubt a Muslim would get a degree in religion there, without also getting one in a place like Pakistan.

Liberals, Jews (and I suspect they will be Liberal too) and muslims??? The day will come when the person who appears in the pulpit will be of any religion and none. The people in the pews will be completely ignorant of the Bible, like the Liberals are today.
