Columbus blamed for Little Ice Age

The European conquest of the Americas decimated the people living there, leaving large areas of cleared land untended. Trees that filled in this territory pulled billions of tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, diminishing the heat-trapping capacity of the atmosphere and cooling climate, says Richard Nevle, a geochemist at Stanford University.

“We have a massive reforestation event that’s sequestering carbon … coincident with the European arrival,” says Nevle, who described the consequences of this change October 11 at the Geological Society of America annual meeting. ...

in order to make their ponzi scheme sound like science, they are inserting their myth into any politically incorrect time in history. Next rendition....they taught the earth was flat because of global warming and the witch trials caused extreme weather changes.

For those who like playing historical blame-games, why single out Columbus? What was his & others' motivation for discovering an alternative route to Asia in the 1st place? The defeat of the Byzantine Empire by the *Muslim* Turks in 1453, who thereafter, made travel on that road difficult. So why not blame them instead?

Columbus was a white European male. That's all that's required in university world.

Is this not good news? I mean, Al Gore says that the world is getting too warm. Maybe Columbus actually saved the world by cooling it down a few degrees? Maybe we should send over a few more Columbuses over there?

This is nonsense. If Columbus is to blame for the Earth cooling, who is to blame for Mars warming?

Ironically, King John II of Portugal was right in rejecting Columbus's proposal. Too bad for them! All they got was Brazil.
