Republican candidates distance themselves from Mormon remark
Republican presidential candidates stayed away from a Southern Baptist pastor's dig that Mitt Romney is not a Christian and that his Mormon religion is a "cult."

Republican candidates on the Sunday talk shows wanted nothing to do with the jab at Mormonism, a faith shared by 15 members of Congress and GOP candidate Jon Huntsman, former governor of Utah.

Perry quickly distanced himself from the cult comment but has not disassociated himself from Jeffress. Jeffress, one of several conservative evangelical pastors who spoke at Perry's prayer rally in August, has long preached that if a Christian is not elected, God will lift his favor from the USA. ...

You're just making your gibberish more unclear by not answering. I didn't ask if anyone should give the president some sort of respect. How is the president Caesar or a king? He is not referred to either nor does he act like it.

Yes, you give the President the very same respect that you would give a king in the Bible. How clear can I make it!

1 Peter 2
16 Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God.
17 Honor all men; love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.---NASB

Perhaps a third party commentary would help?

Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown wrote:
17. Honour all men—according to whatever honor is due in each case. Equals have a respect due to them. Christ has dignified our humanity by assuming it; therefore we should not dishonor, but be considerate to and honor our common humanity, even in the very humblest. The first "honor" is in the Greek aorist imperative, implying, "In every case render promptly every man's due" [ALFORD]. The second is in the present tense, implying, Habitually and continually honor the king. Thus the first is the general precept; the three following are its three great divisions.
Love—present: Habitually love with the special and congenial affection that you ought to feel to brethren, besides the general love to all men.
Fear God . . . the king—The king is to be honored; but God alone, in the highest sense, feared.

The question is simple and it means simply what is asked, and you have done a terrible job at avoiding a simple answer (again). Since you believe the president is Caesar, tell me why.

Jim Lincoln wrote:
The command to respect one's political leadership is a timeless command! By the way you won't get a vote in the millennium or the following eternal kingdom.
If you don't like the leadership here, go to Canada, perhaps they will be more to your liking or Australia or New Zealand?
Oh, am I rather happy the Founding Fathers weren't Christian (but in some cases good Free Masons)? They didn't have any Biblical hindrances in disobeying their leadership. Were we better off by the War of Independence, probably. Were the Southerners right in revolting against the Federal government in the unCivil War, No!

Respect is earned.

If you prefer a nation of men rather than a nation of laws, perhaps it is you should find a country more suitable. There are multitudinous such places where men are worshipped, or at least held to be divinely appointed by whatever false god they believe in, including themselves.

ps, is there something in the Constitution that says a State may join the Union, but is forbidden to leave it? Would that be the Mafia clause?

Did we obey the timeless command to respect Great Britain's leadership by warring against them? Perhaps the U.S. (as a separate nation) is "better off," but that's not the point of the Scriptures. Did our Founding Fathers obey this command?

And if they were permitted to form "a more perfect union," why couldn't the south do likewise -- with continuing legalized slavery?

And if the issue between the UK and the Colonies was not taxation and representation, but happened to be slavery, would we have been wrong to form "a more perfect union," the USA -- with continuing legalized slavery?

Why is there no consistency to the biblical teaching?

Vote Mormon???
Perhaps its all the Republican party can put up this time round.
The other candidates sound like also-rans in this particular election.
One of the reasons Obama managed to get in was McCain who lacked personality on stage.
Romney and Huntsman the two mormons appear to have the personality and popularity type qualities which the American voters like to see now.

What about politics? - Forget it this is beauty contest.

What about the evangelical vote? - Forget it nobody knows what that really means anymore.

So there we go. After 50 deaths in a short time in Texas under the leadership of Gov Perry who signed it as exec order, the governor of California has signed his name to give these to children without the consent of their parents....
so give unto Caesar.
If Brown is Caesar, perhaps the people of California will remind this so-called public servant that in America, Caesar doesn't have the authority to decide what is his.

Roman-"Catholicism" Is THE WORLD'S OLDEST, LARGEST & RICHE$T FALSE-CHRISTIAN CULT ON PLANET EARTH !

AND, AS THE LATE BR. ALBERTO RIVERA (1935-1997)--THE FORMER HIGH-RANKING SPANISH "JESUIT" PRIEST & WOULD-BE "BLACK-POPE" OF Globalist-Ecumenical & "Religious"-NEW-WORLD-ORDER-Roman-"Catholicism" SAID: MORMONISM IS ONLY ONE OF THE SATANIC+VATICAN'S MANY HARLOT, WHORISH & "RELIGOUS-ECCLESIASTICAL-&-POLITICAL" PROSTITUTE DAUGHTERS:

WHO'VE EFFECTIVELY "REBELLED" AGAINST "MYSTERY (MAGISTERUM) BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER (RELIGION-"CHURCH") OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH" (HENCE, THE SATANIC+VATICAN FAVORING FREEMASONIC, GLOBALIST, ZIONIST "JEWISH" MEDIA-&-PRESS FEEDING THE FRENZY OF ANTI-MORMONISM RHETORIC: TO PLEASE & PLACATE MOTHER-WHORE IN ROME (WHILE HIJACKING U.S. AMERICANS' ATTENTION FROM THE MOST SERIOUS ISSUE(S) ON HAND !

LIKE MOTHER WHORE ROMAN-"CATHOLICISM", DAUGHTER WHORE "MORMONISM", IS JUST LUCIFERIAN-BAPHOMATIAN-BAALIST FREEMASONRY GIVEN A "RELIGIOUS" FACE-LIFT !

I'LL SAY THIS TO THE TRUE SAINTS WORLD-WIDE; ESPECIALLY THE SAINTS AT BJU IN GENERAL & DR. BOB JONES III SPECIFICALLY:

*I PERSONALLY BELIEVE DR. BOB III RECIEVED A 1980s PERSONAL VISIT FROM BAPHOMET, THE GOD OF FREEMASONRY, VIA BJU-SC's LATE 33rd-DEGREE FREEMASON SENATOR STROM THURMOND !

Probably McCain lost because he made the foolish decision of picking a woman for a vice-President candidate. Doing that was not God's will.
The pastor said Mormonism is a cult. If this was wrong, what is it?

No. McCain lost because he's a moderate "big-tent" promoter. In other words, he didn't clearly articulate a position in his platform. Moderation loses against ruling-class socialists. Something ruling-class Repubs are slow at learning. But it is good to know God wanted Biden for Vice-President.

"Former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum told Fox News Sunday that he believes Romney, like every Mormon he knows, "has great moral values," and that Romney is a Christian if he says he is."

Classic Rick Santorum nonsense. I must have missed the parable of the talking tree Rick. You know, the one that has bad fruit but says it has good fruit, therefore it has good fruit. What a joke.
