Freedom From Religion Foundation to Convene in Connecticut
This weekend, atheists will converge in Hardford, Connecticut, to participate in the Freedom From Religion Coalitionâs (FFRC) annual conference. FFRC, one of the most vocal groups working to remove God from American society, wholeheartedly believes that âthe most social and moral progress has been brought about by persons free from religion.â The group describes its mission as follows:
The Foundation works as an umbrella for those who are free from religion and are committed to the cherished principle of separation of state and church.
The 34th annual gathering of atheists will be held at the Marriott Hartford Downtown and will include a multitude of non-believing speakers. Among the individuals currently on the agenda are professors, entertainers and the like....
"one of the most vocal groups working to remove God from American society"
Are these atheists?
Or the Liberal churches?
I think the Liberals such as the Anglican/Episcopalians or ELCA or PC(USA) etc are doing a far more powerful job of removing religion from society than the poor atheists in their ignorance of the truth.
It should be remembered that a large group of Christians believe in separation of Church and State, The Anabaptist Story and those whose spiritual ancestors were this group, eschew mixing politics and religion, and the even more vicious form of this idea, Theonomy.
