We have been betrayed, says minister as he quits over gay clergy
AN ABERDEEN minister and his assistant are quitting the Church of Scotland in the growing row over the ordination of gay ministers.

A large number of members of the 500-strong congregation of the High Church in Hilton are set to follow their lead and establish a new church, claiming they have been "betrayed" by the Kirk's stance.

The Rev Peter Dickson, and his assistant, the Rev David Gibson, confirmed yesterday that they were resigning from their posts and from the Kirk. ...

Regarding "the pill" being the cause, you may want to read this booklet written on "Birth control" in 1891 titled, "Fruits of Philosophy, a Treatise on the Population Question" posted here: http://books.google.com/books?id=60DIWglaAsoC&printsec=frontcover&lr=#v=onepage&q&f=false

It was co-written by Annie Besant, former president of the Theosophical society, close friend of Helana Blavatsky, Fabian Society member, founder of a sect of women's co-Masonry, etc.

Why does any future pastor or pastor want to be part of a denominational group that does not practice the bible . I think it is honourable what these pastors are doing and I wish other pastors in bad denominations would follow suit and stand against the cancer of homosexuality that is penetrating our denominations
This compromise on the tail of numerous others

The female career mentality came because of the pill. Thus 1950's pill arrives. - 1960's women seek careers in industry as never before and wear mens trousers from then on. Men submit to women as usual.

This is just a repeat of original sin, whereby Adam receives the fruit submissively from Eve and starts munching.

But the reason behind all this modern mind set is the fallen world in which we exist. Coincidently whilst this is going on the church declines in doctrine followed by numbers in the pew.

The decline (fall) from where Adam and Eve first stood after creation before the fall, is similar. Who planted the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Who provided man with the tools to invent the pill?

Decline from the separate functions and roles of men and women to interchangeability in society is disobedience, the original sin. The next sinful steps are adultery, wife/husband role compromised - abortion, family an inconvenience - and homosexuality, lust becomes legitimate.

There's nothing new under the Sun...

* Prostitutes have always acquired sterility tools and methods.
* Sterilization of the "insane" and "retarded" has been used as long as the procedure was possible.

By extension...
* When our wives wanted tools and methods of sterility (The Pill) we (and the government) said "yes."
* When our wives wanted careers outside the home we said "yes."
* When we were "done" with children and our wives wanted to be sterilized we said "yes."
* When we were having marital disharmony at home and the lady (someone else's sterilized wife) at work empathized with and flattered us we thought "yes."
* When late one night at work she and I were alone we did "yes."

Thus, "For want of The Pill the marital fidelity was lost" doesn't happen in every single marriage, but often enough to unhinge society.

The homosexual is not the root cause of society's woes. Christians are. The CofS had collapsed long before an ordained open-homosexual ever mounted a pulpit to preach.

I can understand that for the want of marital fidelity - a marriage could be lost.

But your "for want of the pill - marital fidelity was lost"???

Are you stating marital fidelity depends on the pill, or lack thereof?

Homosexuality is not the destruction of marriage, family, denomination.... It is a sin. Sin is not the destruction of everything, it is the domain and power over mankind which is to be defeated by God working in the elect of God, the Christian Church. Thus we live in a fallen world and we have since Adam and Eve. But the good news is, "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will" Eph 1:4,5.

1Cor 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ
1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

For want of The Pill the marital fidelity was lost,
For want of marital fidelity the marriage was lost,
For want of a marriage the family was lost,
For want of a family the congregation was lost,
For want of a congregation the denomination was lost,
For want of a denomination the Church of Scotland was lost,
And all for the want of The Pill.

Note: An ordained open homosexual in the pulpit is not the problem, he's just a sign of an all but complete destruction of marriage, the family, the congregation and the denomination.

Article states wrote:
"A spokesman for the Church of Scotland said: "The Church has set up a theological commission to examine whether persons in a civil partnership are eligible for admission, ordination and induction as ministers ...
....We stress that no final decisions have been taken."
Why would any REAL Bible Christian require to "examine" whether a sodomite should be allowed in the pew - never mind the pulpit???

These discussions took place in two assemblies over two years now AND REMAIN UNRESOLVED. The question left open to the True Bible Christian is; "Can none of you Kirk ministers and elders READ THE BIBLE???"

God states
"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Lev 20:13

Christ states that none shall change one jot or tittle of Scripture! Matt 5:18.

Yet the so called Christians in the Church of Scotland want to ditch the Bible - TO KEEP THE LUST!!!

"And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life" Rev 22:19

Obviously the Church of Scotland can no longer READ THE BIBLE!

With such limited space, RP, it sure makes it easier to know where someone is coming from, no matter what they say. There have been a multitude of Camping followers on here trying to tell everyone that the end of the world is this year, and they all posted in three-letter monikers. (Where did they all go?) It's the same with the RC's now, who like to hide in their usual dark place to commit subterfuge anonymously, thinking to gain Protestants to their cult by using "common" ground. Personally I would rather have more respect for a Jim from Lincoln, Nebraska, or a Neil from Tuscon, Arizona, or Michael Hranek (good on yer bro for using a real name unashamedly), than an anonymous poster who never declares themselves.

But that's only my opinion, and I am a nobody, although I have a biblical precedent for that opinion.

Take some thought, make a decision, and stick with it. It makes for better interraction IMHO.
Does it matter more who says what or what they say, in this bazaar format? FYI what I put in the space was not what showed when it posted, and if I hadn't labored to change case, I might have thought I was mistaken, apparently it was not up to me.

That reminded me of this text...

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Micah 6:8 KJV

"We must "walk humbly" with our God. This includes all the duties of the first table, as the two former include all the duties of the second table. We must take the Lord for our God in covenant, must attend on him and adhere to him as ours, and must make it our constant care and business to please him. Enoch's walking with God is interpreted (Heb 11:5) his pleasing God. We must, in the whole course of our conversation, conform ourselves to the will of God, keep up our communion with God, and study to approve ourselves to him in our integrity; and this we must do humbly (submitting our understandings to the truths of God and our will to his precepts and providences); we must humble ourselves to walk with God (so the margin reads it); every thought within us must be brought down, to be brought into obedience to God, if we would walk comfortably with him." MH

If only you could settle down to one unconfused moniker though.

Take some thought, make a decision, and stick with it. It makes for better interraction IMHO.

Pray for the poor remnant that will include 'some' leaving ministers.
It will not be well with any in Scotland that oppose Christ's Covenanted interests. Last night after reading the post that preceded yours, I slept on Psalm 1. Because I don't know you or your situation it the best place to start. Do not walk in the counsel of the ungodly (those who do not with filial fear & trembling keep first table commandments; no one justified is without a measure of sanctification), nor stand in the way of sinners, (second table violators, for they will effect you), nor sit in the seat of the scornful (if you've avoid the first two you shouldn't get too close to the last, but these are evil days), the only thing a scorner should do is make you glad that God has shown you so much mercy, then consider their end,
Jude: 17-25 Remember the Lord is your Shepherd. 'His sheep' will hear His voice and follow Him, not the voice of a stranger. Spend much time meditating in the Scripture. Fear not and trust the Lord even when it must be as feebly as Sarah did, because it pleased God to give her example.

Thanks RP, but what do you do when in the C of S the Minister follows the flow and thinks all will be well in a year and a half when the next assembly gathers for the gay ministers debate, a debate that will be no different to the last one,do you stay hoping it will go away or leave and make a stance on the Lords side and this everlasting word. Yes indeed pray on and on.

Elise, I will share with you a meditation of this day that was a great encouragement. It was the
application of a prophetic psalm in the light of NT revelation. Psalm 51:19. In the OT a bullock was a costly sacrifice and one that was a sin offering for the Ministry. When God calls the Jews Romans 11, there is Scriptural warrant to believe He will also raise up the Kirk, which means her Ministers. Pray on!

I don't know if they've been following man or something else...

But they have been betraying us for at least 50 years (2010 was the 50th anniversary of the Birth Control Pill) with not a peep from the preacher. We are bewitching ourselves by our Christian orgy allowing all manner of sexual perversions to ooze up into the pulpit.

Did Christian pastors really think they could have their little sex party; no one would notice and find a way in to boogie?
