Father upset over homework promoting polygamy, Islam

A father's complaint that his daughter's homework promotes the Muslim faith could lead to a lesson change in Cobb County.

Channel 2's Tom Regan talked to the father who showed him where his daughterâ€™s homework which said there's nothing wrong with having multiple wives.

The assignment went home with seventh-graders at Campbell Middle School.

The school told Regan the assignment was used to compare the pros and cons of the school's dress policy.

For a moment just eying the title it was about The Polygamy Dilemma of the Mormons. But, I see it should be more about Islam Condones Adultery, Rape and Pedophilia. Now that they could cover in their school homework.

I realize that we are losing rights as christians and Jesus said we would. Our time here is short. Jesus come quickly save us from this mess

Another reason to get your kids out of public school and teach them at home or find a good Bible believing private school. I'm originally from GA. I could not find a teaching job there no matter how hard I tried. From my experience the entire system there is a mess. The recent testing scandal only backs up my belief. I do teach in the UAE. The school is Muslim. There may be a handful of Christian students here and in the community, but they are very rare. That being said, I never have to mention anything about Islam in any of my classes. I can tell my students that I am a Christian and I can acknowledge that I believe in having only one wife. Granted, I'm not preaching or looking for converts...that would probably get me deported. I am not required to address homosexuality in any context. Generally speaking, I'm there to teach them English in as much as I can, and all those "extras" that Western schools push on the kids are ignored. I think there are lessons here that our schools could learn from.
