Bachmann attacks 'radical environmentalists'...shares Christian testimony
Bachmann is in the middle of a three-day swing through Florida. Later Saturday she addressed the Florida Family Policy Council, which led efforts to ban gay marriage in the state constitution and supports anti-abortion legislation. She praised the group's work as she talked about discovering Jesus as a teenager.
"I wasn't a bad girl. I didn't drink, I didn't smoke, I didn't do drugs, I didn't chase around with boys _ it didn't matter. I still didn't know the Lord," Bachmann said. Then she told a story about walking into an unlocked church at night with friends when she was 16. She said she and her friends cried and confessed their sins.
"At that moment I gave my heart to Jesus Christ," Bachmann said. "I knelt beside my bed and I said, `Lord, I have no idea what just happened to me tonight. All I know is that I'm a completely different person.'"...
This obnoxious word problem has inspired me to look into it more--One should read the Wikipeida article on "Profanity filters"--and this looks like one of the better solutions to the problem. This add-on to Firefox installs in the later versions than 3.5 which is mentioned in the description of the plugin. I guess I'll have to play around with it and see how it works. Jim, I am not recommending the source because I don't know much about them, but if you haven't seen this it is worth taking a look at.

Even Tom Delay would be infinitely better than what we have now in the white house. We NEED to get people in power who understand government and the economy more, and from everything I can tell, Perry and Bachmann are two of the best possible people we could have.
I guess you and I will just have to agree to disagree on this one.

David Brooks wrote: The events of 2009 and 2010 also concentrated the Republican mind. It used to be that there were many themes in the Republican hymnal. Now there is only one: Government is too big, and it needs to be brought under control. It used to be there were many threats on the horizon. Now there is only one: the interlocking oligarchy of politicians, academics, journalists, consultants and financiers who live along the Acela corridor want to rip America from its traditional moorings.
when the powers want oil drilled in the states it will happen.
environmentalism is a tool used to convince people that agendas are "scientific". one side carries through depopulation, the other says that we are so refined we are above the consequences of our actions.
Ends up being two sides of the same coin.
Strange that the environmentalists who want to depopulate the world for a "cleaner earth" are not concerned about genetically modified foods that obstruct the life cycle in so many ways, making animals sick and harming the fields---proves the goal is not making the world cleaner.
Now Rick Perry won't have to bear the brunt of our seemingly obsessive and perfectionist environmental lobby alone.
We desperately need one of these two, or someone like them, to win if this country is to have any chance of developing a favorable energy/economic policy any time soon.
