Evangelical Football Star Tim Tebow Targeted for His Faith?
Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow has come under attack from sports analysts for being vocal about the role his Christian faith plays in his National Football League career.
Before his second professional season has even begun, naysayers are questioning his confidence that relies on his Christian beliefs.
CBSSports.com national columnist Gregg Doyel recently analyzed Tebow’s interview with Denver Post and said the way he equated his love for God in heaven with tangible rewards on earth amounted to blasphemy. The interview was prompted by reports that Tebow might not begin the season as Denver’s starting quarterback....

Well as long as you understand my motives were only to help, if you needed help. No I didn't notice the phonetical play on your ID and the dictionary. Thanks for taking time to respond to me!

How many married Christian athletes with children have we seen quit their respective sports while they are still at the top of their sport so they could be with their families? I’m sure we all realize that these athletes do not travel with their families and they must spend an abnormal amount of time away from their wives and children. Now few of us even consider this behavior to be against God’s call and design for marriage because these athletes are making millions of dollars. While at the same time if someone in a lower paying, less famous job did the same thing most of us would rightfully remind them of the scriptural responsibilities. Is this not the height of hypocrisy on our parts? Christian men are not called upon by God to entertain people and to make millions of dollars at the expense of their familial duties. Lastly, how many of the wives of these athletes would ask their husbands to quit their jobs so they could fulfill their duties as husbands and fathers? I hope we all can see the hypocrisy in our Christian thought that allows that!
I know this fellow isn't married, but I think Joe is on the right; money and fame talk. 1 Ti 6:9,10

I wonder what the uneducated peasants who did not speak Latin called "faith" before the 14th century?? Imagine 1300 years without "faith."???
Well, I counted 230 times in the NT where the translator chose the word faith. My guess is I am plus or minus 4 or 5 correct. You do realize that without faith mankind has no access to the Redeemer? As an aside, I reviewed you previous posts. If you decide to answer this, try not using a dictionary, but simply say what you feel.
"If you are not saved" and want to find out more about salvation, my email is of course posted. Notice I carefully chose the word "if", so don't become defensive.
It can be found in the original Hebrew of the Old Testament in a number of texts Deut. 32:20 for example:
Deuteronomy 32:20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

Whether or not you agree with "Tim Tebow's Christian tactics" is irrelevant. Philippians 1:18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. Millions of google searches for God's word sounds like a good thing to me being that God's word will not return void!
Mr Tebow's unique eye blacking did bring this response out me in an earlier thread on him,
Matthew 23 5 "But they do all their deeds to be noticed by men; for they broaden their phylacteries, and lengthen the tassels of their garments.---NASB.
It appears that Mr Tebow either needs to be more explicit himself or have articles that are more detailed about his stance on the Christian faith, for one to really praise or condemn him.
Your right Mr Doyle he painted the picture you hung it on the wall, but then you made scathing remarks, don't be like the British press your better than that, cut the kid some slack
What ever happened to Tebow refusing to play pro ball because he said in would take him away from church on Sundays, and that he was going to go to the foreign mission feild?
