Hobby Lobby donates California ranch to Rick Warren's church

Oklahoma-based Hobby Lobby is donating a 170-acre ranch to a California megachurch led by one of the nation's most prominent ministers.

Tuesday, the national arts and crafts retailer disclosed its donation of the Rancho Capistrano property to Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., where the Rev. Rick Warren is senior pastor.

Warren is renowned for having authored the best-seller â€œThe Purpose-Driven Life,â€ his international humanitarian initiatives and, in recent years, his mingling with U.S. presidents and other prominent leaders. ...

One has to wonder about the Christianity of the owners of Hobby Lobby after all (I plan to stay out their stores

)

First,

Matthew 6
2 "When therefore you give alms, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.
3 "But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing
4 that your alms may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will repay you.---NASB

I'm beginning to see a disturbing pattern in the Hobby Lobby owners in getting publicity out of their "Christian" giving. First the Bible Museum and now this.
