A new and intriguing prospect for the Crystal Cathedral emerged Wednesday when the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange said it was considering buying the bankrupt church in Garden Grove and converting it to a Catholic cathedral.
The announcement by Orange Bishop Tod Brown came one day after Chapman University made a $46-million bid for the 40-acre site. The Crystal Cathedral had earlier reached a tentative agreement for a sale and lease-back deal with a real estate developer, subject to approval by U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Robert Kwan....
Ah, our RC friend, but Protestants do have standards for Christian leadership!
Titus 1 5 For this reason I left you in Crete, that you might set in order what remains, and appoint elders in every city as I directed you, 6 namely, if any man be above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion. 7 For the overseer must be above reproach as God's steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain, 8 but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled, 9 holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, that he may be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.---NASB
I read that the Schuller's were making a deal whereby they could buy back the Crystal Cathedral. So I doubt that they would permit the Catholic Diocese of Orange County California to purchase the Crystal Cathedral and turn it into a Catholic cathedral.

What the Roman Catholic is saying here is..... Note that Protestantism has no (MAN MADE) process nor (HUMAN) central teaching authority to define heresy or apostasy.
But the Protestant - real Christian - goes to the Bible and finds that God teaches..... "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." John 16:13.
Poor old Roman Catholic excludes GOD yet again.
There are many religious sinners who read the Bible but cannot receive the truth.
2Thes 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

The Scripture doesn't establish, nor does it require a central teaching authority. It requires that you search the Scripture to see if what men tell you is in keeping with it. You should try it, humbly asking God to reveal what is true.
Why are you certain that they are all heretics? Note that Protestantism has no process nor central teaching authority to define heresy or apostasy. Thus, each and every Protestant must judge for himself if another is outside the faith.
Apparently the building will never have a Christian ministry in it. They should paint the whole structure white,
Matthew 23 27 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness. 28 "Even so you too outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.---NASB
