The Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life has just released its Global Survey of Evangelical Protestant Leaders. This study is very important because evangelicalism is changing rapidly around the world and the consequences of this not only for world religions, but also world politics, are potentially enormous.
Some of the surprises, given the cultural conservatism of many evangelicals, are the mixed views on “women’s roles.” Three-quarters of the respondents (75 percent) favored allowing women to serve as pastors. Yet these same respondents believe that men should be the religious leaders in the marriage and family (79 percent) and the main financial providers for the family (53 percent). But most do not think that women must stay home and raise children (63 percent)....

Well, NWP, I was so busy making a beeline for the door that I don't know for sure, but a guess would be 70/30 women to men. I don't know about your experience, but women outnumber men in most of the churches in my area.
Thank God all those churches don't have female "pastors," though!
Fairly high, if these females were good lookers! NWP! I'm also happy to see that Lady Virtue knows the nonsense of Women Preachers and that is not How Women Are to Learn.
1 Timothy 2 11 Let a woman quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness. 12 But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet.---NASB
No, Catholic leadership has problems with females who want to be priests, but it is the loyalty of the the Magisterium to Roman Catholic Tradition, not to the Bible that dictates male priests. It just happens it's one of those rare instances that Romish Church agrees with the Bible.

A few weeks ago I visited a church that had not one, not two, but THREE female "ministers/reverends" on its staff. Of course, had I known this beforehand, I'd not have darkened the door of that church. But as soon as I found it out, I got up and left...and that after only having been there for about 15 minutes!
A congregation with 3 female pastors?
Approximately what proportion of the worship service was men?

The Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life Global Survey of Evangelical Protestant Leaders:
"Three-quarters of the respondents favored allowing women to serve as pastors."
Rufus:
"However, one can not be favorable towards women in the pulpit and at the same time say they believe the Holy Bible."
The Bible and the constant teaching of the Church requires male-pastors.
It's interesting that while Evangelical Protestantism is rocked by this scandalous leadership survey, the RCC Canon Law doesn't allow female pastors -- thus a female preacher is almost a non-issue for them.
Perhaps it's only the RCC who is most-clearly following the Holy Bible in this area.
If God asked me what I thought I might have views that would match up to these respondents. Turns out He doesn't care what I think, and I'm glad, for His ways are better. Women have vital, essential roles, in God's economy. However, one can not be favorable towards women in the pulpit and at the same time say they believe the Holy Bible.
