Mercedes-Benz is currently designing a hybrid Popemobile for Pope Benedict XVI, according to a Germany newspaper.
The move to a greener vehicle is consistent with Benedict’s view on being a good steward of the earth. In 2008, Newsweek noted, “The new pontiff has made being green a central part of his teachings and policy-making. Just months after being elected pope, Benedict stated in his first homily as pontiff that ‘the earth's treasures have been made to serve the powers of exploitation and destruction’ and called on Catholics to be better stewards of God's creation.”...
Both His Unholiness and Billy Graham would have caused much less trouble if they both were put on sailboats. Billy Graham, when he spoke from pulpit almost always spoke the truth (and was when he wasn't in the pulpit he made very anti-Christian utterances q.v., Billy Graham Believes Catholic Doctrine of Salvation Without Bible, Gospel, or Name of Christ ) Whenever the Pope speaks, wherever he is and whatever he is doing is almost always anti-Christian, q.v., The Pope and the Papacy.
If this Vicar of Satan wanted to support a green movement, at least get a big tricycle and peddle down the streets of the places he visits.
