Baptist leader says Weiner needs Jesus

When news broke this weekend that Rep. Anthony Weiner was seeking treatment for his inappropriate online relationships with younger women, Al Mohler, head of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, suggested that reconciliation with Jesus Christ would be a better response.

Mohler, one of the countryâ€™s most prominent Southern Baptist leaders, tweeted:

Dear Congressman Weiner: There is no effective â€œtreatmentâ€ for sin. Only atonement, found only in Jesus Christ.

The message has been re-tweeted by about 100 of his 27,000 followers. ...
