Navy Authorizes Chaplains to Perform Same-Sex ‘Marriages’ in Naval Chapels
Anticipating the elimination of the military ban on homosexuality, the Office of the Chief of Navy Chaplains has decided that same-sex couples in the Navy will be able to get married in Navy chapels, and that Navy chaplains will be allowed to perform the ceremonies -- if homosexual marriage is legal in the state where the unions are to be performed.

Indeed, the answer here is "all of the above." The Lord has really opened my eyes to the unbiblical treatment that marriage receives even in churches and among those that are supposed to be pastors! This means a fear of God is lacking in general, even in His own house!
I left a church last year after finding out that the senior pastor was twice divorced and thrice married (as is the woman he's now legally but not Scripturally married to); one assistant minister and three deacons at that same church were divorced and "remarried" also.
The Bible clearly prohibits this (Luke 16:18; Mark 10:11-12: Matthew 5:32; Matthew 19:9; Romans 7:2-3; I Corinthians 7:10-11, 15, and 39)and it's even worse for elders and deacons to misuse the Scriptures to justify remaining in their positions of leadership. It sends a very dangerous message and confuses people. But the Bible is clear on the matter. We are the ones who muddy the waters by saying what Satan said to Eve in Genesis 3:1: "Yea, hath God said ...?"
With 50% of Christian spouses throwing each other under the bus, and 20% who want to but can't afford it, haven't we all but killed the institution of holy matrimony? What is our message to the lost and dying world?:

Thus, as this Great Experiment fails and the Tradition of Christian marriage breaths its last, is it any wonder that the Government would try to avoid any hint of discrimination by legalizing same-sex marriage?
Judgment begins in the house of God.
