Vietnam Tries to Portray Cult Gathering as Christian
The government tried to portray several thousand Hmong followers of a sub-Christian messianic cult as orthodox Christians while the military forcibly disbanded their gathering Thursday and Friday.

The cult members recruited from orthodox Christian groups – vulnerable to false teaching in a country where Christians cannot print their own Bibles and are subject to other restrictions – had gathered for religious reasons in Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien Province, but it turned into a confrontation before local defense forces disbanded them, bolstered by Vietnam People’s Army reinforcements hastily dropped in by helicopters.

Sources in Muong Nhe told Compass that several thousand Hmong who had initially gathered to wait for the ushering in of a new Hmong kingdom had been sent or taken back to their home areas, but that some 3,000 remained. A source said that about 50 Hmong followers, including the ...

Well, that was confusing, NT! You assume perhaps the U.S. is a Christian nation? It isn't Sometimes Christians can get our government very grudgingly to get minorities in other countries treated better, but supporting democracies in bad cultures isn't going to work, The Silent Extermination of Iraq’s ‘Christian Dogs. The conclusion of that article stated, 'Democracy, that is unlimited majority rule, is as brutal and tyrannical as any dictator but is worse in one major respect - the "tyrant" is 51% of the people and this tyrant lives without fear of assassination. No excess is too great and no horror is too inciting of opposition. All disputes can be settled by the sheer force of numbers, numbers of either of ballots or bullets and usually both.' It's really too bad the Godless Western Pope didn't support the Byzantine Empire.

We few enlightened countries must do what we can to protect human rights, from Communist and Muslim countries.

I would think a nation would do a better job of that by being a more shining example of what has already been attained not by the 'enlightenment' encouraged by French allies 'of sorts' and or counter reformation movement, or even by founding separatists but rather an heritage of true reformation. Some poor ones coming on slave ships as political prisoners and others hoping to find a better country, all the while trying to maintain what had been attained but was being lost after the 'glorious revolution' that proved more like Constantine's reign then for the advancement of truth.

To those who cite the first amendment as reason for excluding God from more and more of our institutions and everyday life, may I just say: The first amendment of the Constitution was not written to protect the people of this country from religious values; it was written to protect religious values from government tyranny.
We few enlightened countries must do what we can to protect human rights, from Communist and Muslim countries.
