Obama Reflects on Death, Resurrection of Jesus
For President Barack Obama, the resurrection of Jesus Christ keeps things in perspective. That was his Easter reflection as he addressed Christian leaders Tuesday morning at the White House.

Though it wasn't exactly a worship service, the brief gathering – held a day after Obama reached out to the Jewish community with an intimate Passover Seder – proved to resonate among the more than 100 guests.

The guest list this year included some prominent megachurch pastors such as Bishop T.D. Jakes of The Potter's House, Tim Keller of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Andy Stanley of North Point Community Church, Dave Gibbons of NewSong Community Church, Mark Batterson of National Community Church, and Joel Hunter of Northland Church. ...

"What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice."

Philippians 1:14-19 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

God be praised! Amen

To be neither in the world and or of it; nor to be yoked for service with those who love not the Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity; this is reasonable and right, but there would be no spiritual warfare if it were not contested.

1John 2:15-16

Our hope John 17:14-17 "I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."

O our Blessed Mediator's effectual fervent prayers for his own; What comfort for us, to take, into our finite understanding such a love that laid down his life for his friends.

Sorry to cut your commentn short. I couldn't agree with you more. They take oaths to disobey God using His name! How can anyone say they are going to "uphold and support" immoral laws? If anyone disagrees with this, let them read a sample oath given to executive level politicians. My conclusion is there is no way any executive level political office can be held by a genuine practicing Christian unless their worldview “intentionally” includes pragmatism, compromise and relativism under the guise of some type of greater good concept. Clearly all of us our sinners and all of us are guilty of compromise, but not all of us take an oath unto the Lord to do this! Is it any wonder why God says we are to consider ourselves strangers and aliens in this fallen world? Is it any wonder we are to not love the world or be friends with the world? Lastly, is it any wonder why we are told to come out from among them and be separate?

John, that is correct.

And if Obama was a Christian, he would warn you about sneaking in to a Catholic Church to take the Mass while secretly discounting half the service as heretical.

Our Constitution would make it impossible for a true follower of the Lamb to take an oath of office, because it is a deist Constitution, that promotes the pluralism he has vowed to uphold. He dose as he has vowed. The question is;

1.What should one do if they have vowed an unlawful oath?

2.What should the followers of the Lamb do in such a nation as this, so that they will not be culpable of a denial of the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Matthew 10:32Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
(note: my Father not our Father)

Mark 8:38Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Psalm 16:4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god; their drink-offerings of blood I will not offer, nor take up their names into my lips."

David Dixon's Commentary:

"A fourth fruit and evidence of faith, is , the hating of false religion, and counting all followers of idolatry, or worship of another god, than the true God, to be accursed; such a hatred of false religion is accompanied with the discountenancing, open discrediting, and abhorring of all idol service, as David expresseth here in the whole verse." ...

"And that’s why we have this breakfast," he pointed out. "Because in the middle of critical national debates, in the middle of our busy lives, we must always make sure that we are keeping things in perspective."

Actually, it's because to him "keeping things in perspective" means making Christian-sounding noises after announcing he is running for re-election. We should remember all the anti-Christian noises he has made in the past 2 years. Besides, he's a leftist. It's really difficult for them to tell the truth.
Should we not fight for the term Christian and say you are not when people do not believe fundamental doctrines to our faith, it is like we cannot call blue blue anymore,
Dominic,

God's people have in former days had the courage to do as you have said. These Christian leaders were always in the minority and were obscure sufferers.
Some of my forefathers came here on slave ships as political prisoners because they spoke up as you say, against the throne of iniquity and refused to have fellowship with them. There is no nation on earth that has had the privilege of the gospel whose people are not being challenged for this same thing. It does not only apply to the USA. See Joel 3:14 "Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision." Read the minor prophet Joel for context.

Why has none of the Christian confronted him on the Muslim issue, it is like having parties to gain Christian voters yet no Christian has stood against his anti Christian and Jewish agenda in Egypt, in the Passover meal he likened the exodus to the Muslim brotherhood uprising in Egypt which he promoted aswell as the move in ivory coast where he ousted the chistian president for a Muslim one, why is there not one Christian leader standing up at the breakfast whilst he Molly cuddles christian leaders for the forth coming election
Why can't a Christian leader call his bluff and stand up before he causes destruction around the globe
We need jesus and not one made in mans or Barak obamas jesus but the Jesus of the bible
It seem the term christian is up for grabs anyone can say this including atheists except one who believes in Jesus alone is the only way to to god and believes the bible is the word of god and heaven and hell and having faith alone in Jesus and hates sin, Jesus died and was raised on the third day and died for our sins so that we would not have to go to hell, virgin birth, bodily resurrection ,
Should we not fight for the term Christian and say you are not when people do not believe fundamental doctrines to our faith, it is like we cannot call blue blue anymore,

"The president made it clear that his family will be celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday, but made an effort to extend a Passover greeting to Jewish families and to address Hindus, Muslims and people of no faiths in his holiday message."

Aaww ain't that sweet and religious.

Must be a great comfort to all you American folks over the pond to have such a dedicated believer as the main dude in the Whitehouse.
