Planned Parenthood to Expand Abortion Biz in Nebraska, Iowa
Planned Parenthood of the Heartland announced today it will open new centers in 12 communities in the Midwestern states over the next five years — including a third location in Lincoln, the Nebraska state capital and the location of the University of Nebraska. PPH president Jill June announced the expansion and launched a $11.5 million campaign to raise funds for the new centers that will add to the 25 the abortion business already operates in the two states.

Planned Parenthood would open new centers, which would either do abortions or refer for them, in Grand Island, Fremont, North Platte, Hastings, Norfolk and Kearney in Nebraska, and Carter Lake, Clinton, Mason City, Muscatine, Ottumwa and Marshalltown in Iowa. It did not say which centers would do abortions on site, offer the dangerous RU 486 abortion drug which has killed 13 women and injured 1,100 more, or which would only refer for abortions. ...

The State has sovereign control over driving. It "allows" me to drive an auto. If I use it in the commission of a crime, did the State ordain the crime?
I hear what you're saying Mike and John. My only problem with the allowing part and not ordaining part is this: Did God allow the Flood or did He ordain it? Did God allow the killing of Pharaoh's firstborn or did He ordain it? If God is sovereign just as the writer of a book is sovereign, then He must allow, ordain and cause the characters to follow certain paths.

Isaiah 54. 16 and 17 "Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. 17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants..."

This is a key verse that shows God creating the tool, disaster and the punishment for both. God does not create evil, but He uses

Jessica, I have a question. How would you apply R&R's statement of April 17 9:54 PM to this issue of abortion?
"Are all these terrible tragedies outside of God's purpose and will? You are not getting the big picture. God is outside of all these little happenings. He blends the good and the bad into a grand tapestry to bring to pass His glory on earth."
Greetings Mike,

I went and read the comment and my outlook is Luke 17:1: "Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!"

Thank you for asking and God bless!

So why is there evil? Surely God allows it, and if He allows it, then His sovereignty MUST ordain it. Like a king allowing a beheading in his kingdom. If he allowed it, surely he must have ordained it by giving his permission.
I hope this clarifies a bit. God allows evil, not because he must, but because he chooses to. His sovereignty allows, but does not command/order that evil to happen, therefore it is not ordained by him. He does not ordain "Thou shall not..." and then ordain the opposite, thus contradicting himself. He does not ordain the evil, but rather the allowance of it. That is why man is held accountable.

Surely bro it depends on whether it was a legal execution or an illegal act. I don't know any just king that would condone an illegal act.

p.s. I've not forgotten your request, and I'll mail you soon.

Jessica, I guess I should've read the article. Western Nebraska is not as liberal as the cities of Omaha and Lincoln. Planned Parenthood will not receive a friendly welcome.

Exodus 21
22 "And if men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she has a miscarriage, yet there is no further injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman's husband may demand of him; and he shall pay as the judges decide.
23 "But if there is any further injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life,
24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
25 burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.---NASB

As evil as this article is, apparently if we fail to repent, God could even allow this of His elect:
"And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat" (Leviticus 26:29).
Interesting statement. As the elect, we are the true church of Jesus Christ. I doubt that God would allow us to fall in such a fashion. According to Scripture, "...If it were possible...", even the grand deception of the antichrist cannot touch us. This is good news for us striving to live out our days in this world. And yes, Mike, God ordained this as well. Evil yes, but God's holiness and power must allow it, use it and then punish it.

Eccles. 4:1So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.

2Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are yet alive.

3Yea, better is he than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.
