The cliche notwithstanding, there are atheists in foxholes. In fact, atheists, agnostics, humanists and other assorted skeptics from the Armyâs Fort Bragg have formed an organization in a pioneering effort to win recognition and ensure fair treatment for nonbelievers in the overwhelmingly Christian U.S. military.
âWe exist, weâre here, weâre normal,â said Sgt. Justin Griffith, chief organizer of Military Atheists and Secular Humanists (MASH). âWeâre also in foxholes. Thatâs a big one, right there.â
For now, the group meets regularly in homes and bars outside of Fort Bragg, one of the biggest military bases in the country. But it is going through the long bureaucratic process to win official recognition from the Army as a distinct âfaithâ group....
It is interesting to note that when one comes face to face with death that you are more likely to become a Christian it is comforting to know that non Christians are a small group in the American military bad thing about the don't ask don't tell policy being removed Hopefully the atheists will stay a small group

Yes! The Lord knows this and recorded...
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. 2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. 3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge?" Psalm 14 and 53.
God wrote this Psalm twice in the Word of God, which makes a very interesting point to atheists.
There was an atheist in my Father's Army unit the 43rd Engineers during World War II in Australia and New Guinea. Atheists, agnostics are insane and psychotic to deny the logical and cosmological evidence that God exists.
