Pro-life laws are part of the reason abortion rates have declined over the past two decades, a study says.
A review of abortion data from 1985 through 2005 provides “solid evidence” that laws restricting but not outlawing abortion “have an impact on the childbearing decisions of women,” Michael J. New wrote in State Politics and Policy Quarterly, a peer-reviewed publication aimed at state policymakers.
Mr. New, an assistant professor of political science at the University of Alabama, studied the effects of informed-consent laws, Medicaid funding rules and parental-notification laws for minors — rules that existed, by 2005, in dozens of states....

I visited a Synagogue and was surprised that they condoned abortion. They actually used the verse you gave, to support their views. Since the punishment of death was not given on account of the miscarriage, but only if the mother died: They called the unborn, "a potential life".
I believe they misinterpret the Scripture, for it says in Luke 1:44: "For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy."

"“Almost invariably, it is a parent, not a government employee or business entity, who cares most about a daughter’s well-being,” Mr. Perkins said. “This is why we support common-sense laws that reaffirm parents’ unique role as the decision-makers in the life of their child.”"
But in Wales Quote; "Schoolgirls in Wales are to be given the morning-after pill for free on the High Street from today onwards.
The emergency contraception will be handed out without charge in more than 700 chemists shops in Wales - but will cost up to ÂŁ25 in the rest of Britain.
And pharmacists will also be able to give the pill to girls under the age of 16 - if they believe it is 'clinically appropriate'." (Daily Mail)
What a way for a nation to treat its children?? No morals is the official position in British bureaucracy.
