Christian imprisonment, beatings continue in Mideast
More Christians are being persecuted in Saudi Arabia, according to the ministry International Christian Concern.
Two Christians from India are the latest to be taken into custody and mistreated, says Logan Maurer of ICC.
"When they were arrested, they were beaten" states Maurer. "While in prison their apartment was ransacked. We have pictures of that, as well as graffiti was spray painted all over their apartment and this is simply the latest in a long string of incidents against Christians."...
"Both men were sentenced to 45 days in prison and will likely be expelled from the country, all for practicing their faith privately. "While accused of proselytizing, they weren't"
This is nothing new in Saudi. The Christians who have worked there have been aware for years that the Saudi's have been persecuting Christians, raiding church services on going, taking Bibles from people and generally trying to be awkward with Christians. But the Saudi's have to rely on westerners to keep their industries going and this gives access for God's work in that country. Just like Roman road building two thousand years ago helped bring Christianity north to europe and UK.
