Pope John Paul II gets Facebook page
The Vatican will unveil the latest installment in its social media transformation next week — a Facebook page dedicated to the upcoming beatification of Pope John Paul II, officials said.

The site, which will link to video highlights of John Paul’s 27-year papacy, is designed to promote the May 1 beatification. But it may well continue beyond given the global and enduring interest in the late pontiff, Vatican officials told The Associated Press.

The Vatican’s first attempt at an event-themed Facebook page — to promote Pope Benedict XVI’s September trip to the United Kingdom — is still active six months later and updated near-daily with 10,000-15,000 regular fans checking in, said Monsignor Paul Tighe, the No. 2 in the Vatican’s social communications office. ...

The government has the right and the responsibility before God to mete out punishment for sin. But I, as an individual, do not have the right to take revenge and personally avenge wrong that have been done to me. Look at verse 17 with me. Paul says, Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.
from, Response to Enemies and Evil

Romans 12
17 Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men.
18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.
19 Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord.
20 "BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS UPON HIS HEAD."
21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.---NASB

If we hate Catholics, aren't we already defeated?
Can we find ways to do good to them?
We don't hate them!
Whether they are catholic reprobate or muslim et al.
We who know the truth simply disagree with all heresy.

"Love your enemies" - Note this does not change the status or position of the "enemy" - We do not have that power.

V35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

This is a statement of Christian witness, thus Christ-following.

Gentlemen,

Didn't Jesus teach?: "But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you" (Luke 6:27).

If we hate Catholics, aren't we already defeated?

Can we find ways to do good to them?

The article said:".. the Holy See has improved getting its message out online, with a dedicated YouTube channel and Twitter accounts, and its increasing presence on Facebook. Pope Benedict XVI has spoken out recently about how the church’s message can get out effectively and in entirely new ways using the interactivity of social media.

Yes, they and their ilk have joined the interaction on Sermon Audio just in case no one has noticed.
