In Ethiopia, Muslims burn 69 churches
Muslims have killed at least one Christian and wounded several others in anti-Christian violence in western Ethiopia, according to International Christian Concern, an organization that helps persecuted Christians worldwide.

ICC also is reporting that Muslims have burned down 69 church buildings, 30 Christian homes, a Bible school, a Christian orphanage and a church office.

The anti-Christian attacks started March 2 after Muslims allegedly accused Christians of desecrating the Quran, the Islamic holy book. Violence continues to affect residents of the area. During the initial days of the attacks 3,000 Christians were displaced; ICC reports those numbers now have climbed to 10,000. ...

Jim, certain macabre statistics should give us pause, don't you think?

jpw, the number of dead during the Iraqi war(s) are hard to estimate, q.v., Wikipedia article, (Casualties of the Iraq War). Looking at these estimates and only one of them is near the figure you gave.

Now Bumbling Bush, was very very good at one thing, almost perfect in one respect is to protect the interests of oil in that region, something he and his family are closely tied to.

However, he may very well have distracted Al Quida. Did he or his underlings do an efficient job of this, no. The Defense Secretary Who Let Bin Laden Get Away

For the sacrifices American and other allied troops made and the deaths and sufferings that non-Muhammadans in Iraq went through the returns were unsatisfactory.

As I pointed out before I don't see this in either the Iraqi or Afghani constitions, which is in the American one, First Amendment. If it was ignored by them the sin would be on their head, now it is primarily on Bush's

Jim, Saddam didn't kill nearly the number that has been killed in the "Iraq War" (a war begun by a nation that never formally or legally declared war). From what I read Sad. did deplorable experiments on the Kurds with chemical weapons. Then the US comes in and uses hundreds of tons of DU which is still causing birth defects and illness. What's the difference?

1 million dead.

I went to bed and woke up this morning and another war with another nation.

jpw, a lot of those dead through the years have been Christians and Jews, Turning a Blind Eye to Murdered Christians. No, Iraq's war on Christians has gone unnoticed by American governments, but one of the few good things that can be said by the Iraq--and very little good can be said of it--is that the biggest killer of Iraqis, at least for the moment, Saddam Hussein has been gotten rid of.

"Muslims burn 69 churches" while the Western world stages dramas for the media to bomb Libya and who next?

1000000 dead Iraqis doesn't bother the westerner.

The angry Mus uses his own arms to slash and hurt the innocent.

The angry Westerner uses large metal objects, bombs, cameras, keeps the pictures clean, and never looks back.

Revelation 9:13-21 and Revelation 16:12-16 This has been considered to be the spread of Islam by the best commentators in chap. 9 that will be used of God in the East to bring down civil spheres against the Lord and His Christ and in chap.16 the opening up of the East to the gospel with the conversion of the Jews. The 7th trumpet and vial 'beginning' to sound will do the same in the West.

I have been taught the trumpets are judgments on the Civil sphere against the Lord and his Anointed and the vials are judgments on the Ecclesiastic sphere in opposition to the Truth. Some believe that the vials are contemporary with the three woe trumpets, others with the beginning of the 7th trumpet. I tend to the first related to 2 Cor.10 because it is the spiritual battle against both pillars Boaz and Jachin or Beauty and Bands that hurt the kingdom of God on earth
