Book publisher says televangelist Benny Hinn violated morality clause
A Lake Mary book publisher is suing televangelist and faith healer Benny Hinn, saying he violated a morality clause in their contract when he began an "inappropriate relationship" with another evangelist, and thus, must pay $250,000.
In August, Hinn admitted to a friendship with evangelist Paula White after The National Enquirer published photos of them in Rome, holding hands.
Hinn was married at the time. His wife, Suzanne, had filed for divorce a few months earlier.

They are stains and blemishes, reveling in their deceptions, as they carouse with you, 14 having eyes full of adultery and that never cease from sin, enticing unstable souls, having a heart trained in greed, accursed children; 15 forsaking the right way they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness, 16 but he received a rebuke for his own transgression; for a dumb donkey, speaking with a voice of a man, restrained the madness of the prophet. 17 These are springs without water, and mists driven by a storm, for whom the black darkness has been reserved.---NASB
"It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you"
1 Corinthians 5:1-5 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
I didn't know Benny Hinn had a new book. So I guess he hasn't been publicizing it much. "Blood In The Sand" has a list price of $16. That's $2.40 per copy Benny Hinn would make at the usual 15%. (Not sure about paperbacks, that's the hardback rate.) That means Strang thinks the book will sell at least 125,000 copies. So it's not unrealistic for a celebrity Pentecostal. Given Hinn's inability to move product (all he does is promote himself!), I can't blame the publisher for wanting out of this deal and using any means necessary. This is not a good time to sell books. Creflo Dollar's new book hasn't sold a single copy at Barnes and Noble where I shop. Hinn's publisher is probably taking a bath on this. They'd be lucky to sell 12,500 copies today.
