Egypt's Christians After Mubarak
There is much to make Christians in Egypt anxious about their relationship with Muslims. On January 1, a suicide bomb killed 23 people at an Alexandria church, and today's resignation of President Hosni Mubarak signals changes that may make Christians' presence more precarious. It's no wonder that the country's Christian minority is praying for peace more fervently than ever.

The demonstrations demanding Mubarak's resignation, which began after the January collapse of Tunisia's authoritarian government, were a rare instance of the country's Muslims and Christians uniting in common cause. Many pastors and church leaders had urged Egyptian Christians, traditionally known as Copts, not to participate in the demonstrations in Cairo's Tahrir Square.

"The things that are happening now are against God's will," Coptic Orthodox Pope Shenouda III, 88, said on national television in early February. But ...

My question, if anyone knows, is what were those precise differences in theology? especially as concerns the nature of Christ?

Which one Jim?

"The Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria is the official name for the largest Christian church in Egypt. The Church belongs to the Oriental Orthodox family of churches, which has been a distinct church body since the Council of Chalcedon in AD 451, when it took a different position over Christological theology from that of the Eastern Orthodox and Western churches, then still in union. The precise differences in theology that caused the split are still disputed, highly technical and mainly concerned with the nature of Christ."

2.
"The Coptic Catholic Church is an Alexandrian Rite sui juris particular Church in full communion with the Pope (it is thus part of the larger worldwide Catholic Church). The Church numbers about 163,000 in Egypt alone (as of 2010). Historically, Coptic Catholics represent a schism from the Coptic Orthodox Church, leaving that church in order to come into full communion with Rome. The current Coptic Catholic Patriarch of Alexandria is Archbishop Antonios Naguib, who replaced Stephanos II Ghattas in 2005. The offices of the Patriarchate are located in Cairo"

What's the dividing line of being a Christian or not? This is usually considered to be it, belief in, "Only Scripture," "Only Christ," "Only Grace," "Only Faith," and "To God Alone Be Glory". What does the Coptic Church believe in?

They have their own pope, They practice Monasticism, and Spurgeon has an excellent comment about this,

Charles Spurgeon wrote:
When the hermits and monks shut themselves out from the temptations of life, foolish persons said, "These are strong in grace." Not so, they were so weak in grace that they were afraid to have their graces tried. They ran away from the battle like the cowards they were, and shut themselves up because they knew their swords were not of the true Jerusalem metal, and they were not men who could resist valiantly.
from, Lessons From Nature I stand by my comment that these heretics are not Christian.

Agree Dr Clark

While we might need to correct brethren in some areas, its foolish to proclaim the Coptic Church as 'non christian.' They are indeed part of the Davidic Kingdom and our brethren.

Not only will I join the rebuke, but add

1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

Of course the Coptic religion isn't Christian,
which would seem to imply that all members of the Coptic Church are, per definition5um, non-christians.

is anyone of us able definitely to decide as to who is a christian and who is not?

Of course the Coptic religion isn't Christian, What's So Wrong With The Eastern Orthodox Church?. But, they, the Jews, and the small Christian community in Egypt should be able to live in peace and tolerance. No doubt this is a futile hope, though, Israel and Arab democracy and CBS' Lara Logan Hospitalized: "Brutal Sexual Assau. islam: The Religion of Peace
