A Radical Pro-Abortion President
When Barack Obama was running for President, he was described by some observers as one of the most radical candidates in the nation’s history in terms of support for abortion. Once in office, President Obama has done little to dispel that judgment. Even as the President is tracking to the middle on many issues, this is not the case when it comes to abortion.

This past Saturday, on the 38th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, the President issued a statement that is remarkable, even for presidents who support legalized abortion. The President’s statement included not one word that indicated any recognition that abortion is in any case or in any sense a tragedy. There was not even a passing reference to the unborn child. President Obama did not even use the language used disingenuously by President Bill Clinton — the pledge that abortion should be “safe, legal, and rare.” ...

I appreciate you daring to comment on this openly committed to Bible and the Lord Jesus Christ website.

First and foremost I thoroughly dissagree with your premise that no one is pro abortion. One of many examples is Planned Parenthood who if memory serves me offered free abortions immediately after the attacks of 9-11.

Besides rather than tell a rape victime there is hope, that even if the father was a monster, each child doesn't have to be like his/her father do they, the devil would seek to lie to the victim/mother so she could kill her own baby (it isn't just the father's is it but part of her too!) and what greater trauma could a woman have then to be guilty of murdering her own child.

AND who could forgive her of such a sin but God alone.

Amanda; if you ever truly get Born Again, God will renew your mind and set you free from the false morality of the left that you have so deeply imbibed. It seems from your post that your entire framework of right and wrong, comes from the liberal media rather than from the whole Word of God. You have no doubt taken some of the moral teachings of Jesus and interpreted them through the current liberal framework. Keep reading more of Jesus teaching though, and you will find him saying things that will Shock you liberal sensibilities. Then you will be confronted with either Jesus or liberalism.
Coming from the 60s and 70s mindset I too believed that Jesus must be all about being nice and never hurting peoples feelings. But when I really got saved, my mindset changed and I saw my morality was false; it was a counterfiet. God's righteousness, His punishment of sin and wrath do not mean He is not loving. His love does not mean he thinks everything is O.K.

When I was a teenager: I went to doctor after doctor, till I found one that didn't try to convince me to have an abortion. I even had a social worker try to coerce me to have an abortion.

I have known many women, who's family members have tried to coerce them to have an abortion.

There have been women in China who have had been physically detained and abortions forcefully done on them. This, because they went over the one child per couple law.

I know of one famous woman, who as a teenager: her parents literally forced her to have an abortion.

I hate to say it but I do believe that many people are: "PROabortionists."

Using the old "rape" arguement to justify abortion is like doing something because 0.001 per cent agree with it.
OR
One crime justifies another???

2008 Stats (USA) for abortion - ie ONE year, is 1,200000 thats over a million unborn lives killed by man, in the majority of cases because it was inconvenient for the woman to have her child.

This is culpable state murder.

Rape stats...
•74% say having a baby would interfere with work, school, or other responsibilities.
•73% say they cannot afford to have a child.
•48% say they do not want to be a single parent, or have relationship problems with husband or partner.
•Less than 2% say they became pregnant as a result of rape or incest.
