Arab Christians mistaken for Muslims in the U.S.
Labib, an Egyptian who moved from France to Houston nine years ago, serves as the priest at St. Mary & the Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church.

In case the giant cross didn't give it away, he's a Christian priest.

That's not so obvious to all Americans, including airport officials, who suspect he's a Muslim.

"Because I wear a robe and I let my beard grow, people think I am Muslim, even though I wear a cross," he said.

While using this ancient speech recognition program is fun it certainly can come up with some strange ideas of what I said.

Where = wear

No = know

Now when I want the other versions of those words it will come up with the latter instead of the former words.

By the way, wearing crosses does not mean a person is a Christian, many rock musicians wear them, airport guards may just is well think that he is a Muslim rock musician with the typical fetish. Crosses fall under the fetish category anyway.

Frank, you have a point. He may not be a Muslim, but any knowledgeable Christian probably would wonder if he was one himself.

Perhaps he should have stickers on his luggage or where a T-shirt that has the URLs, of islam: The Religion of Peace or Muhammad. Now that may confuse airport inspectors even more, but I would imagine any Muslims around would no better.

A 'christian' priest who serves at a church called St. Mary & the archangel Michael coptic orthodox church?

Have I entered the twilight zone?
