Shock: Christian Coalition founder Pat Robertson favors marijuana legalization
Count this among the 10 things nobody ever expected to see in their lifetimes: 700 Club founder Pat Robertson, one of the cornerstone figures of America's Christian right movement, has come out in favor of legalizing marijuana.
Calling it getting "smart" on crime, Robertson aired a clip on a recent episode of his 700 Club television show that advocated the viewpoint of drug law reformers who run prison outreach ministries.
A narrator even claimed that religious prison outreach has "saved" millions in public funds by helping to reduce the number of prisoners who return shortly after being released....
It's amazing how the Statists so easily defend their master and the thousands (?) of deadly, mind/body-altering, magical pharmaceuticals and vaccines, with vaccines even being made with cells of aborted babies. But that's all fine and dandy, because "Luke was an Allopath" boo hoo hoo.

Should marijuana be legal or not? The Bible says that a man should be held responsible for his actions. So, smoke the weed and be responsible for your health care, smoke the weed and while on a high you run over someone and injury them then you pay, no bankruptcy, no crying about hard times, you spend the rest of your life if necessary paying for the harm you caused. God forbid you kill someone while on a high...then your outta here! Folks cry about wanting this or that legalized but are they willing to take the responsiblity that comes with the right?
I'm always amazed at the arguments on this topic. The old "if it comes from the earth than its natural and therefore must be from God argument." The problem with those who use that argument are presupposing there were thorns and thisthles, hallucigenetic plants and mushrooms, and marijuana prior to the fall of man. Genesis 3:17-18 says the ground was cursed and bad fruit didn't start growing until after the fall. So if marijuana is natural because it grows from the earth than how come your not smoking Oleander plant... or how come your not eating uranium? There's an old cliche statement that I live by, if Jesus was standing next to me would I be doing this? So the question is, if Jesus was standing in front of you, would he have a problem with you getting high? Galations 5:20 calls "pharmakia" or drugs, witchcraft and sorcery and it says that those who practice sorcery and drunkenness will not inherit the kingdom of Heaven.
If you want the government to restrict marijuana, be careful what YOU ask for. Don't come crying when you are no longer allowed to buy sudafed over the counter. Think things through, and don't impose 21st century biases on scripture.
This JPW was simply stating that seeds of the natural order build up (good nutrition) society. She didn't even make mention of illegal seeds. Since when do you equate "natural" seeds from the earth to something that is "illegal"? If you know how to cook the "old way" instead of eating everything out of a box from Walmart, then you would understand that most foods originate as seeds/grains/nuts. It is man who has refined everything good out of the "seeds" and is left with a 21st century product that is stripped of its natural nutrition, and then man has to add sythetic minerals and vitamins back into it to give it "nutritional worth."
There is nothing immoral about protecting and cultivation natural seeds. People who want to control all seeds, will control everyone, including the food supply.

Take it from someone who used to use pot; nothing good ever came of it. If someone is in pain, there are better reliefs. If medicine can be derived from it, it can be done without the deliterous effects.
You obviously havn't smoked any today, or you wouldn't have had the presence of mind to write so extensivly. If you have smoked some and want to tell aboput it, I might have some DEA and Secret Service friends in your area that would be interested in hearing about it.

Law is necessary because men are not generally self-governing creatures. In an absence of government there is always anarchy. Man also tends to corrupt that which in itself is not inherently evil. "Guns don't kill people..."

Mike was right. Robertson did not say he favored legalizing pot. The news source is trying to make a story where there is none, by making it sound like there is a groundswell of conservatives that want to legalize drugs. It's liberal thinking that says "If we make everything legal, crime will go down".
Having said that; ther are a lot of issues involved in the video clip. Two of which I don't agree with. The foremost is the old idea that we should rehabilitate instead of punish. Well; it's not an either or situation. Prisons are for punishment of crimes and should be kept as such. Rehabilitation is desirable [regeneration is better] but should not replace punishment. Second was the comment about taking things off the books that arn't really crimes. That opens a can of worms. They Are crimes because they are on the books. But I do understand making the punishment fit the crime.
