Cathedral Scandal: Did Rev. Schuller fleece his flock?
Members of the famed California church The Crystal Cathedral were dealt a double blow by their trusted pastor, Robert H. Schuller. The lavish Christian worship center filed for bankruptcy last October, shocking thousands of the church's members and millions of it's donors and viewers of Rev. Schuller's internationally-syndicated television ministry, Hour of Power.
That blow was followed by a K.O. punch when newly-released financial documents revealed that in the midst of severe financial turmoil -- that included stiffing vendors and employees out of their pay -- the church, located in Garden Grove, CA, paid more than $1.8 million to a chosen few including Schuller family members....
I am on disability benefits, and my husband is my caregiver. I'm not sure but I think we live on around $15,000 Canadian year. That's housing, food, clothes, and whatever else we need. Jesus walked around living homeless and yet many people live high off the hog, off the gospel. The gospel should not be a business, it is the salvation of our souls. Thank you and God bless!
"Documents filed Wednesday in the cathedral's bankruptcy case show that about 23 insiders and relatives enjoyed handsome salaries, benefits and perks from the founding minister Schuller in the year immediately prior to the Crystal Cathedral filing for a Chapter 11 bankruptcy."
We know what you been doing ..... And it ain't called Christian.
It must be very easy to fleece liberals.
