He's playing politics. This all started amidst that controversy with the mosque at Ground-Zero, Obama was caught with his pants down dolling goodies to Muslims while throwing his support for them. Ob's always been overtly muslim but for some reason, g-z seemed to have tipped the scale for Americans. Polls were showing more Americans were viewing Hussein as a Muslim. Seems his campaign handlers kicked into high gear to tell us at every opportunity that, of course Ob is a Christian, he was seen praying. The Obamas were then seen going to church. Obama started appearing publicly to declare that he is a Christian, even "by choice", whatever that meant!
For a guy who supports live-birth abortion, appointed record number of gays, expunged all references to 'Creator', and secularized Thanksgiving, ... .
Obama's pursuit for a "Christian image" is nowhere more visible then during his recent trip to India, where he broke protocol to not attend their temple. He was so concerned about putting on the required Hindu/Sikh headscarf, lest be be seen as a muslim. As one paper reports, "...Mr Obama had to remind the United States "each day that he should not be mistaken for Muslim just because his middle name is Hussein." http://www.sermonaudio.com/new_details.asp?ID=30355
I am glad to know that president Obama is praying and reading the Bible. God's word is powerful and God will accomplish what He pleases through His Word. May God help president Obama, to be a godly example to the nation and nations. We should never underestimate what God can do through His Word. May God's will be accomplished through president Obama, through our Lord and Saviour Who lives forever in glory. Amen
"Praying and reading the Bible are part of his everyday life, President Obama said"
Roman Catholics, Jehovah's Witnesses and many other cults do too.
Prov 28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Then there is... Matt 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Praying and reading the Bible do not make someone a Christian, just as a parrot that barks doesn't make it a dog. A Christian is someone who has been "born again", who has trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. The Bible says by their fruits ye shall know them.
