A recent survey suggests two-thirds of people see a connection between the message of the church and suicide among homosexual youth.
But Alan Wisdom, vice president of The Institute on Religion & Democracy (IRD), points out that the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI), the organization that conducted the poll, "is a group that is set up to advance liberal causes in the church and in politics."
Alan Wisdom (IRD)He says the Institute is spinning the evidence in a way that sounds persuasive, but it is actually full of logical fallacy. Wisdom explains that the PRRI starts with the truth -- that most religions consider and preach that homosexual conduct is a sin -- but "they then draw a causal link or imply a causal link that somehow the suicides of gay and lesbian youth are to be attributed to the fact that Christian churches and other religious groups disapprove of their behavior."...

I believe we may have churches like The: Westboro Baptist Church to thank, for that and propelling that Idea.
When I was young I used to go to Gay bars, though I never engaged in a homosexual relationship. I kept praying to God and discovered that I wasn't really attracted to other women, it was temptation. I had noticed for the most part that the sin repulsed me. But then, I suffered from times of temptation which seemed in opposition to what I truly desired: Which was God, His righteousness and to be reunited with my husband. God removed that temptation from me after much prayer (two years) and turned my life and from engaging in that sexual sin.
The Buddhist and Muslim religious teachings also teach against the practice of homosexuality. But truly, it is the Christians that are being blamed for the suicides amongst homosexuals, we must counteract this idea people have, by showing God's irrefutable love to the homosexual person.
Maybe homosexuals commit suicide for the same reasons other people do- they cannot deal with the conflict between how they live their lives, and what they might think life should be. In their case, it is a very real and irreconcilable contradiction.

We have no right to try to force people to live under rules that they haven't agreed to, we have no right to shame people. Shaming someone sexually is abusive: And those who are abusive to homosexuals, should not be assumed to be Christians. Sharing that there is a better way to live, is different than a bully who speaks abusive language and physically assaults someone.
All well and good Jessica. However; This article is trying to say that Homosexuals are commiting suicide because Christaians are saying that homosexuality is sin. The next step is to silence christians, calling it a hate crime to state what the bible says. In some countries it is considered a Hate Crime even to quote what the Bible says in Lev. and Romans.
So the Real bullying is the Gay Agenda and Gay friendly groups bulluying Christians into silence on the matter.

When a Christian has a problem with a person being a homosexual: They should be doing something like baking them a pie, something that shows without words, God's love for sinners.
Romans 2:4 Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
God is able to make a person caught in sin to stand: Even if it is not a sexual sin, but hypocrisy. We have all sinned: Now we need to be the tangible evidence of God to weary sinners.
We have all been hypocrites, now let us "go and sin no more".
Amazing - a Christian expressly appealing to formal logic!
But what's good for the goose is good for the gander: Mr. Wisdom should also denounce "cum hoc ergo propter hoc" when used by Christians on other subjects (such as, "Church attenders live longer").
Here is an analogy to describe those who say that spiritual truth can constitute hate speech. This fellow went to his doctor because he was not feeling well. The doctor said he had a severe chest cold, took x-rays as a precaution and then prescribed antibiotics to relieve his symptoms. The man was overjoyed and relieved because he was a smoker and had feared his symptoms might be lung cancer. The next day the doctor read the x-rays and realized the man’s worst fears were true; it was stage 4 lung cancer. The doctor pondered this, trying to decide how to tell this man his prognosis was fatal. He then concluded that the kindest most loving thing he could do was not tell the man the truth because to do so would cause him extreme distress since the cancer was now inoperable, incurable and he was going to die very soon anyway. He would simply call the man back, tell him the x-rays confirmed his previous diagnosis and then prescribe very strong pain medication that would mask the symptoms. Maybe this way the man’s final days would be happier? Is this what the world is really asking Christ’s church to do? Yes it is!
