Art Exhibit Depicting Jesus in a Sex Act Sparks Outrage
An exhibit at a Colorado art gallery is stirring up outrage from critics who say it depicts Jesus Christ in a sexual act.
"This is a taxpayer-supported, public museum and it’s family-friendly," Donna Rice, another member of the city council, told the Denver Post. "This is not something the community can be proud of."
"But the artist Enrique Chagoya, a professor at Stanford University, said he was simply making a statement on problems he sees with religious institutions."
There was a time when "artist" wannabe's would push the bounds of decency and step on other peoples beliefs to generate notoriety for themselves. Controversy for the sake of controversy to attract attention. But this is a gutless, spineless coward that has steered clear of Islam. What's so great about a work that pretends to not be afraid to make a point, but in reality is very constrained.
These artists usually claim they are just ahead of their time and must have artistic license to express themselves.They claim to be brave but none of them seem to have the same bravery regarding blasphemy of Islam.
First there was the crusifix dipped in urine (Piss Christ), then there was Christ painting his nails. Now this, which isn't the first time (The film: The Last Temptation of Christ already had Christ being intimate with Mary Magdalene).
Is the REAL goal of these artists to stir-up controversy and intrigue, or to just bore us all to death with more of the same inciteful graphics they've been producing for years now?
It is sad that the reprobates illustrate the path they take to hell and eternal damnation.
