Bible 'germ' ban rejected
A BEDSIDE Bible ban considered by an NHS hospital trust that feared they could spread germs has been rejected.

The Bibles could pose a risk of cross-infection if not cleaned properly, according to research by Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

But the trust decided against banning the book in bedside lockers, opting instead to keep copies in holders and protective plastic covers that can be easily cleaned after use.

Cuspis, yes, I would think other reading material such as magazines, which are probably handled much more frequently, would be much more of a threat, since Bible are rarely used. I would think computer pads will become much common in the future, and Kindle and Nook devices or something similar would be easier to keep clean, and a much wider selection of bible versions, could be had as well.

Funny how they don't seem so bothered by the magazines, books and leaflets in the waiting room.

If removing things, eg Bible, is the solution to removing bugs away from the patient area then the ward would be completely empty. - No beds???

When I went into hospital last year I took my own Bible, KING JAMES VERSION of course.
