Researchers analyzing the Stuxnet cyberweapon have found references in its code that could indicate that it was created in Israel. The hint to the origin of the powerful computer virus comes as new information was shed on the virus Thursday during the Virus Bulletin conference in Vancouver, Canada, and amid reports in Chinese media that Stuxnet has widely affected the Internet-savvy country.
The New York Times reported Thursday that Stuxnet contains a file named "Myrtus," which may reveal the virus's origin in a Da Vinci Code-esque fashion. The "Robert Langdon" on the case is a German computer security expert named Ralph Langner.
Although myrtus has several possible meanings ‚Äď including being Latin for the plant myrtle ‚Äď Mr. Langner noted that it may be an allusion to the Hebrew word for Esther. He pointed out that the Book of Esther features a plot by Persia against the Jews, who preemptively...
Ah, Neil, I didn't tell you all I remember because it wouldn't be politically correct! Since I have done rather well on such tests, I'm not that hostile to them. But intelligence is one thing, and Wisdom is another and true Wisdom comes from the Bible -- and you don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand that.
non dispy, God, made promises to the Jews that were not conditional, even as a race, and those promises will be fulfilled to that physical race all of who will be believers in Jesus in the end. There will be a physical Israel throughout time. Not if you start where Paul started viz. Romans 9.6-8
"It is not as though God's word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. 7Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham's children. On the contrary, "It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned."[b] 8In other words, it is not the natural children who are God's children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's offspring."
So you take the "scientific" claims of secular textbooks seriously? Too bad, since IQ tests are inherently subjective (depends on one's definition of intelligence) & therefore tell us nothing except the biases of the researchers. Only God can tell us infallibly who is wise, and who is not (cf. 1 Cor. 1:18ff).
And what were Sephardic Jews, chopped liver? Or maybe Polish Jews benefited from hanging around smart Polish Gentiles? It's child's play to poke holes in such research.
Racial supremacy theories are not wrong because they are wicked; they are wicked because they are fallacious & undermine the Biblical doctrine of man.
Ah, before it became politically correct, Neil, (Wow, that was decades ago!) college sociology books did break down the intelligent levels of various groups, guess what, Polish Jews were at the top. Yes, unfortunately I am a pure "Aryan" who could always use more smarts.
Romans 11 22 Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God's kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off. 23 And they also, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in; for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut off from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more shall these who are the natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree?---NASB
Jim, [to argue reductio ad absurdum] I'm sorry you were not ethnically chosen, & thus have the burden of being a clueless Gentile. You make illogical inferences from what the Bible says; even if God has the sort of future for Israel that you imagine (which is not what I am disputing here), Gen. 12, Rom. 11, etc. do not prove Jews have any congenital mental superiority.
Neither does Replacement Theology claim that Jews have any mental deficiency, or that they ought to be persecuted. That is a standard Dispy strawman, promoted of late by Barry Horner, whom I regrettably know.
I always consider the source of any article. Most media sources have a strong bias and a particular strain of unbelief peculiar to them. That must be taken into consideration. Can the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places give accurate information? They give data to be compared to Scripture and make sincere believers cling to the Word of God and the historical testimony of the true reformed religion.
Genesis 12 2 And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; 3 And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."---NASB
